Just got an Xbox One, is in game Video chat available on Live?

Hi All,

I just got an xbox one with Kinect and I like it a lot, for some reason I am getting an error message when I try to signing to Skype.

My login and pw for Skype is correct but the xbox says "my credentials are associated with another account." any thoughts how to fix that?

I'm curious, can we video chat in an online game using Kinect and a wired headset or do you have to "Snap" open Skype and video chat that way?

Is Game Pass available for Windows 10

I dont have a xbox one but just got a new windows laptop. Is game pass available on windows 10 PC's? Also, are all xbox one games playable on windows or just select games?

 

Skype on Xbox 1

I checked my email and I just got an email tonight Friday 12 Dec 2014 10:13 pm saying my Skype subscription will expire soon. I use my Microsoft account, and understand if you want to video chat on Xbox 1, you can only do it through Skype, unlike with Xbox
360 video chat stays with the Xbox division. I received a similar email earlier this year but got another one not long after saying my subscription was renewed. Should I just ignore the email? I thought as long as you have an Xbox Live Gold subscription, you
can use Skype for video chat on your Xbox 1 console without paying a subscription, on your Xbox 1 console. I've had Xbox Live Gold since 2011.

 

I think you can only video chat in game via the snap feature. When I use Skype on my XB1 I use my XB1 headset.

 

i'd try logging into the Skype website and check the account settings to see if it shows an association to another account.

 

Snapping Skype seems to be the way to go.

 

Strange I can sign in to Skype on PC and my cell phone, no issues but on xbox one I get an error message.
