Just getting your game ready

Hi all, little help if possible. Tonight my xbox one would not get past the green screen so I rebooted it. When it started ii keep getting "just getting your game ready" but goes no further. When I click cancel it just pops back up again and again and wont
allow me to do anything else. I noticed 2 updates were needed, Halo 2 and overwhatch. Halo updated but overwhatch will not saying I dont have room and I need to uninstall something. I have 1% on the hard drive but 700GB on a seperate drive which shows on the
screen. I cannot play any game at all, and the cd drive only sometimes takes in a disc. I have soft booted and hard booted several times to no avail. A new system update appeared at 21:30 GMT and I was hopeful that was a fix, but no. Anyone any idea because
my boy is so looking forward to Destiny 2 which arrives tomorrow. Thanks

Let's first try giving your Xbox a
power cycle, see if it helps get things running back to normal.

We use the same Xbox, I just tried it and we're still having the same issue.

Yes, we found out that uninstalling or updating a game fixes the issue, but half of our games still do it.

have you tried to go to the storage and uninstall it there and try again and restart your console? That might work.

To check, do you have your games installed to your internal storage or do you have an external drive you're using? If you're installing to an external drive, try uninstalling and install internally to see if there's a change. Let us know what's up so that we

If you haven't tried already, please uninstall one of the games you're unable to start, power cycle your Xbox One, then reinstall the game. Let us know if that helps

Started doing this today on Destiny, Call of Duty, Halo Wars 2 and I've tried uninstalling, restarting and re-installing with Black Ops 3 and still no go!!! VERY annoying!!!

Hey, vOhBaby!

So if you are having problems with a particular (or all) of your games, try the troubleshooting at the page titled

“My Xbox One game won’t start or freezes during gameplay”

That should help you out.

If you still have problems after that, I'd try to make sure that you have an Open NAT in your Network Settings and then try maybe what we call a soft reset. You can do that following the steps on How
to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One.

Try those solutions out and let us know if they help resolve your issue
