Just getting a black screen when I try to play a game

Took way to long to actually contact them so I gave up, but apparently they know and apparently they have some stuff "up and running" which is bull cause I got on one of them that is apparently "up and running" and black screen!!! (It was YouTube) But in
all I guess we wait a couple weeks or so for them to fix... Really hope they fix this cause I have nothing else to do until then. Even tried playing offline and got the same thing.. What a load of bull!! >_< 200% Beyond Mad!

 

I did it!! Playing gtav now. They didn't fix it but I figured something out that might help. I have an elite Xbox.. I have a WiFi adapter to it. Sometimes when I turn my Xbox on without my controller it will bring me offline (just happened to me), I started
up GTAV and I was playing!

Step 1: So what you need to do is start your Xbox in offline mode.. Can't start it in online then switch to offline mode, unless you turn off your Xbox and restart Xbox onto offline mode (maybe once you get onto a game you can turn your network back on and
play)

(What I did was unplug my WiFi adapter and started my Xbox)

Step 2: Start a game you want to play

Step 3: Get back online and play!

(I plugged my WiFi adapter back up and went to connect to Xbox live and I'm playing again!!)

This might not work for everyone by it worked for me..

Also, if you're on a game try not to leave it cause who knows when you're going to be able to get back on.

 

I just caught the problem this evening, about 8 pm, 8/2/14. I thought my 360 was finally toast. Before this, no problems. Has Microsoft given any explanation or response?

 

I really thought it was my hdd breaking. So glad this is not the case. This started Thursday for me. I actually had the same thought as Tulip. I mean god forbid I actually go do something. I frantically tried everything to get my games to work, I'm glad
there's the disconnect workaround. But doing it is getting old and I can't open netflix or xbox videos because it demands a connection so I can't watch anything and that's annoying. I hope this issue is resolved soon!

 

The issue, as far as I can tell, is with xbox live, specifically. I play whatever I want, whenever I want, as long as I don't start the game (or app) while I'm signed in. Don't have to mess with the network or clear caches, or any of that crap. Just don't
sign in until your game gets to it's start screen. Anyone else finding the same?

 

To anyone else who had this issue. Here is my work aroundand it worked for a few others.

1. Start the game no logged in to xbl, for me I physically unplugged the cable.

2. Reconnect to xbl when game has loaded.

 

ITS WORKING FOR ME JUST DELETE THE GAME OF THE MONTH AND WAIT A COUPLE OF HOURS BAM I CAN PLAY WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

support.xbox.com/.../xbox-live-status says it's all ok now, but i still hesitate to connect to Live. Is it really fixed?

ps: I was able to play all of my games offline, with no black screen.

 

I'm pretty sure everything is fixed. I haven't gotten a black screen since yesterday morning
