Just getting a black screen when I try to play a game

Okay so I just tried playing a game on my profile and the screen was black like usual. Then I tried switching to my sister's profile that's on the same Xbox and for some reason hers works just fine. So is it a problem with our profiles?

Every time a black screen appears when I try to launch games and I cannot play games for 3 days. This is very annoying.

 

@Tulip...It seems to be spreading. My friends(who have been able to play all this time), are beginning to have the same issues as we all are.

ps Oh, in case any MS folk be lurkin...48 hours off and counting. Remember how many people jumped ship with PS3 back when their service got hacked? This'd be a great time to get to fixin.

 

Ya I've noticed that too. I always have about 15 friends on and now I only have 5

 

Somehow I have not been affected by this, but several of my friends have. They seem to be able to play their games offline, but not online and can't sign in to LIVE once the game is running.

 

I FOUND A WORKING FIX FOR THIS!

xbox is performing an update which is causing this problem, and they are currently trying to fix it. heres the link to the status

however this works in the meantime so try this

if ur using ethernet, then unplug your ethernet before u turn on ur xbox, turn your xbox on start up the game, wait until u get the to screen where u go to xbox live. then plug it back in wait a few seconds and sign in. if ur on wifi, tun off the router
before turning on xbox, then turn on the xbox load game, go to the screen just before xbox live, then turn the router on wait for it to load up and then sign in.

@Tulip Yeah, my friends have been dropping offline steadily today. There are still a couple able to play online, but most of us are having to sit on the forums waiting to hear about a fix XD. My CoD clan have been filling my inbox and texting me non stop
for the latest news lol

 

Its amazing that they haven't been able to fix it yet. I guess they shouldn't have laid off all those people at Microsoft

 

it doesnt matter what i do, iv tried everything and still black screen across both Downloaded and disc games. oh and console freezes when i try to dashboard

 

Hind sight is always 20/20 eh lol

 

I guess they really did need those thousands of people that they fired because they're doing a pretty bad job without them
