Just d/l thru EA Access. Any essential dlc.

Hey guys, I've never played Battlefield before and was wondering if there is any dlc that I should get? Any other recommendations(guns,tactics,etc.) would be appreciated. Thanks.

anyone with an active subscription to EA Access can download the Second Assault expansion pack for Battlefield 4 starting January 29 and through February 28, free of charge.

All you need to do is find it on the EA Access Hub app on Xbox One.

Battlefield 4 is itself part of the games available through EA Access, without any DLC. This is will be the first piece of DLC to added to the game through the service.

another positive addition to ea access.. i mean bf4 is already in the vault.. so it is good news they may dabble with free dlc for vault games as well.. it may open the door to more ea access content.. i kinda figured at first they would be on a 2 month cycle for game content.. it may shorten that time frame all together... it also helps them keep games active that would otherwise die out... all in all i think ea is doing well with ea access and how it is running so far.

Battle Field 4 Download?

I did the download of Battlefield 4 today and was excited to play, but when i went to my games section of my X1 after the d/l completed (even say installed when i go to free d/l section) it is nowhere to be found! Am i missing something? Do i need to get
EA access in order to be able to play?

dlc is on sale until Aug 4th so if you were going to get them now might be the time

For $30.50 the premium is real good value. I paid £40 ($67.50). You get 20 maps, lots of new weapons and some new game modes. Well worth it IMO.

Some of the early guns are decent anyway, it'll take a some time to unlock attachments and vehicle perks.. there's so many variations you're best finding what suits you style. You'll get destroyed early on getting used to everything, playing the objective
and using your squad are the most basic recommendations.

Id wait for BFHardline, but its gonna be a reskinned BF3, just like BF4 is anyways. Tips? Just kill the other guys.

I have the preview app. Its a dashboard beta for Xbox1. Microsoft just sent me two codes to be in that new EA app where its $5 a month or $30 for a year to play all their old games. It also gives us 10% off of dlc and stuff. It be a sweet deal if it
was all new games. Oh well.

Right now EA offering only 4 games. BF4,fifa 14,Madden,Peggle. I just bought BF4 used so not much here. Madden out dated already for rosters. Now if they start to drop new titles into the EA app faster then it be a deal to wait for a game to get a little
older.

But who would want a sports game when the season is over with? Or buy a shooter when its near a year old? Shooters now days lack replay value the way it is since they give us short story mode and less maps on the disc upon release.

Also if the EA subscription is expired then you lose all games like Xbox1 and PS+. Guess it be a decent deal if new games have a 2 month waiting period before it drops into the EA app for $5 a month.

I realize this is an old thread, but with the advent of being available on Gold recently I d/l'd it and am having the same issues with the DLC that y'all were having 2yrs ago. I've followed the advice in this thread and I still can't access the DLC for the
game. It's not in the chest. If in two years this issue hasn't been resolved, when the game became available for d/l recently in Gold then the DLC packs should NOT have been made available for d/l. If the game is unsupported then it should've been explained
that the DLC was unavailable. Continuing to offer the DLC and accepting payment for it is just wrong. I will be seeking refunds for the 3 packs I purchased. Take down the DLC for this game.
