Just cancelled my xbox live account and game pass - off to buy a PS4. Goodbye.

Sold Xbox one

My son exchanged his Xbox one a couple of months ago for PS4. He is not getting on with the PS4 and wants to get another Xbox one. I cancelled his live gold account. I have gone into my Microsoft account just now and it has restarted the live account. Will
this be linked to his old gamer tag? Or should I cancel again and restart with a few new account?

 

GTA 5 Rockstar Social Club - account transfer

I cancelled my Xbox live membership a few weeks back as I changed my 360 to a PS4. i created a rockstar social club account to link my PS4 and old Xbox gta online data however, when I added Xbox live account, and logged into Microsoft it seemed to port a
random Xbox live gamer ID with no gaming info.

because I cancelled Xbox live I still have a Microsoft account for other things so would think my gaming info would still exist.

can anyone help as I'd prefer not to lose all my online progress on GTA

Also, don't be surprised if Sony's support also "sucks", but ye, you stick it to the man, this'll show Microsoft who's boss!!.

 

Or you can keep both and have the best of both worlds.

Microsoft has high standards when it comes to customer support. Have had good experience with them.

It's Facebook's Support that sucks to be honest. No chat, no email addresses, no physical addresses except their HQ, no phone numbers, and they take 14 business days to get back to you! And yet their verification system by email or txt sucks as well. I have
no problems receiving codes from everyone else. Vodafone New Zealand said it's Facebook's issue. But most people tend to use it there as no other company has come close to them in terms of social media. My friends persuaded me to get an account last year,
but I don't put a lot of personal info there.

As for PS4 Pro, I did try that for a few months, but sold the console. Reason why is Square Enix took TEN YEARS to make Final Fantasy XV, and when it came out, Xbox One X wasn't due out for another year, and wanted to enjoy the visual fidelity. But now I
have the X, there's no need for me to have a PS4. I have good friends on Xbox.

 

About to jump on the wagon as well... Xbox one I own isn't even three years old and it won't start.... absolute trash product... yea I tried all the tricks. Worked for about a week.

 

Heh… I actually like to see these threads. Some people realize that not everything works out the way they'd hoped and that sometimes a product doesn't perform as it should. They understand that there's always the possibility for a bad experience with any
product. That's part of life. So those people decide to learn from their experience and try not to be too bitter about it, even if they decide to move on to another offering.

Other people, IMO, can't help but be angry to the point of being resentful and vindictive... enough to feel it appropriate to publicly 'thumb their nose' as they leave. The way I see it, a community like Xbox/XBL is better off without those kinds of people.
Every time I see a thread like this, I think how XBL just got a little better.
