Just bought XBOX One X. and getting 0x80a40019.

Just picked up a brand new XBOX One X from the store.

I fired up and went through initial setup, After update, it asked me to sign in, so I did click on sign in button, and pop up came up with spinning wheel.

after about 3 minutes, it finally gave me a message "Please try again followed by error code 0x80a40019.

Looked up error code and found that it's related to network.

here's the evident why I don't think it is not my network.

1. all other PC/Server/Laptop/tablet/smartphones in my network are working without issue

2. When I went through initial setup from new xbox, I was able to download update and applied it.

3. From Xbox, when I go to Setting - Network, I was able to pass all the connection test.

4. From Xbox, Detailed network stats shows that my download speed was 250.44Mbps and upload was 37.17Mbps.

5. I opened all TCP/UDP ports that xbox live uses.

I had xbox phone support call me and received a phone call after 30 minutes later. And he hung up on me out of nowhere.

Troubleshooting I've done so far.

1. used wired connection instead of wireless connection - not resolved

2. power cycled xbox - not resolved

3. pulled the power cable for about 20 minutes and tried again - not resolved.

4. performed factory reset - not resolved.

At this point, I'm not sure if it is hardware defect or MS's server issue. Currently only server that's having issue is "Purchase and content usage" however this issue just came up.

Please let me know what I might have missed.

Error code 0x80a40019

I Can Connected to the Xbox Live. Since I Bought Console 10 Days ago.

When I was Click for Sign in After 1 minutes I saw Error code 0x80a40019.

xbox wont let me add an account keep getting error 0x80A40019 , I have reset the xbox and the internet connection is ok , please help

 

Literally the same story as you. I factory reset as well and it did nothing. Spoke to tech support and went through same solutions. Nothing worked. Need to go to bed now. I am hoping it works in the morning

 

Exact same story as well. Bought a new XB1X this evening and ran into the same problems. Went through all the same troubleshooting steps as you, still getting 0x80a40019. I think it must be a server side issue.

 

Realistically if you just bought it, you could take it back and even exchange it. If you don't want to do that and want a way that fixes many issues, do the following:

-Hard reset or remove xbox from power source for at least 30 seconds.

-Push and hold the bind and eject buttons on your xbox.

- While holding those buttons press the power button. (Xbox will chime)

- Continue to hold the bind and eject buttons until you hear a 2nd chime.

- You will be at trouble shoot start up.

- Choose bottom left option, which is reset xbox.

- Choose either (I chose this one) "keep games and apps" or "keep nothing".

-Follow the steps the xbox goes through and you are done.

 

The factory reset does not seem to resolve this issue. Exact same error codes appear when going through the system setup. First failure occurs when attempting to add an account, error code 0x80a40019, next error occurs at the end of the initial setup after
confirming the resolution setting, error code 0x8027025a. Upon dismissing these error messages and reaching the home screen, accounts still cannot be added due to the same 0x80a40019 error code.

 

Now that i see all of you people with the exact same problem its clear there is something wrong with Microsoft's side. my xbox is not new at all but i did just update after about 6 months. now i cant sign in and ive done every step under the sun including
hot spotting from my phone to side step the home router. Microsoft, speak up.

 

I didn't put in in OP because I was able to select 4K eventually, but yes I had exactly same error when I was confirming the resolution setting.

 

I really thought about getting exchange, but the one I picked up was the last one available at Gamestop in 100 mile radius from where I live.

 

Update from the Xbox Support twitter: the issue appears to have been resolved on Microsoft's end. I've verified that I'm not seeing 0x80a40019 or 0x8027025a in the initial system setup anymore. I can now add accounts and download games from the store.

In my opinion since your XBox is brand new I would take it back to the store and exchange it for a new one, dont even try to troubleshoot this headache.

 

You know, my Xbox One was having trouble with signing me in, so it popped up the error code. I have tried to see if it is the Xbox server or something else. Restart fixed it, so no worries.

 

This issue appear to be resolved. Now I'm able to sign in. Must have been MS side problem since all I had to do was go to bed and wake up.
