Xbox 360 controller

I recently got an xbox 360 controller off ebay and it looks just like the real thing but i'm not sure if it's original or not. How can i know for sure? It's a xbox 360 wired controller for windows.

Ps. I just noticed the hologram on the back says "microcoft" . How screwed am i? :/

Xbox 360 Wired Controller Help

Hi guys, I just bought this xbox 360 controller

The problem is I want to use it on the PC.

Further searching had me find this

Does that mean I should of bought the second one? The pictures look the same, so will the first one still connect to my PC or is wired?

Xbox 360 wired controllers are a real thing. They were normally available during the very early days of Xbox 360.

You can check your serial on Sign in to your Microsoft account, although I don't know for sure if the serial will register anyway... (I've tried separately purchased official Xbox One controller serials
without success)

Chances are if you got it on eBay, especially if it was super-cheap, it might be a fake. There's not a lot of information to work with from a single forum post alone. You can check for those shiny Microsoft-branded stickers that they put on for authenticity. Overall,
if it plugs in to USB and plays anyway, it'll function just like any third-party controller.

Unfortunately unlike the Xbox One controllers, the wireless Xbox 360 controllers remain wireless regardless of whether you connect them to a PC with a Play and Charge. You can't make an Xbox 360 wireless controller a wired controller.

If you want to use your 360 wireless controller on a PC you'll need to buy an Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows.
