    Just bought Windows 10 Minecraft, and trying to login in, in order to "Save to Microsoft...


    Hi there!

    So I just bought the windows 10 version of Minecraft, and it's prompting me to link my microsoft account to the game, which you'd think it would already have done that since I bought this through the microsoft store..?

    Anyway, whenever I click "Save to Microsoft Account" it brings up what looks like my xbox login (which should also already be associated with my microsoft account), and shows a "Let's Play" button. Clicking on that button will make the game flash red and
    crash out.

    Has anyone run into this problem and know of a solution by any chance? I'd very much like this to be linked to my account instead of it all being stored locally on device if at all possible.

    PS4 Microsoft account failed login.

    Hi Maple,

    In order for the login to work, I believe you need to have created a Gamertag on Xbox Live using your Microsoft Account in order to link your accounts and play Minecraft on PS4 using your Microsoft account. This allows
    content you purchase in-game to save to the account and travel with you if you decide to play Minecraft Bedrock version on another device.

    If you are having login issues, you need to make sure that you have an Xbox Live Gamertag (Xbox Live profile) made with your Microsoft Account by logging into https://account.xbox.com/ or
    any of the Xbox apps on Windows 10 PCs or mobile devices. Once you have a Gamertag made, restart Minecraft and try logging in again with your Microsoft Account that now has an Xbox Live Gamertag associated with the account.

    In order to be able to play Minecraft dungeons on pc, you will need to purchase the windows 10 version of the game.

    oh ok well that is kind of dumb and it should work with the same microsoft account but wait what about the cloud save of a character.

    Please check under https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders/ if your purchase for Minecraft Windows 10 shows up.

    Be aware that Minecraft for Windows 10 is different from Minecraft on Xbox and also different from Java Minecraft on PC. If you bought Java Minecraft BEFORE Oct. 2018, you need to sign into your Mojang account on the Minecraft.net website, and can redeem
    a code for Windows 10 Minecraft.

    After you got Minecraft for Windows 10, make sure you sign in with the same account that you bought it. Open the Windows 10 store, check that's the right account in the upper right.

    Then open the menu and check your library. If you bought Minecraft 10 with that account, you will find it there.
