    Just bought Need For Speed on Xbox One, It needs an update but the update will not work. How do I get it to work so I can play the game?

    My Network Connection is fine, I've uninstalled an reinstalled Need For Speed but still, every time I try to play it I get a message saying it needs an update and when I try to update it I get an error saying there was a problem with the update. What do
    I do? I just spent my money buying it and I can't even play it.

    original xbox games

    I am tryng to play my games from an orignal xbox to a xbox 360. When i put the game in to play it says the game needs an update. Along side a person from the xbox company, whom tried to help me update format it. It wouldn't work. How can i get them to work,
    or can not they work at all? Anything else can i do?

    xbox 360 backward compatibility issues.....tough problem..

    i recently purchased some great old xbox 1 games such as fatal frame and counterstrike they work on my brothers xbox 360 but will not work on mine.

    i have an xbox 360 with a broken ethernet port so it cannot go on xbox live..... i have the latest xbox 360 dashboard and i need to install the xbox compatibility emulation 2007 update but can not figure how to install it it does not install just says mixed
    media disc.

    Again these games work on my brothers xbox 360 and i do have an genuine xbox hard drive i can play some xbox 1 games and i need to figure how to update the xbox 360 so i can play these games.

    Try power cycling (support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console) the console and see if that helps.

    If you just downloaded the game, there should be zero need for an update (it would be bundled into the download) so I'm not sure why this would even be occurring. I haven't played the game in a while and there was no update for me, so I don't see any reason
    why you should get that prompt.

    If the power cycle does not help, go into Offline Mode (Settings > Network) and boot the game. That should stop it asking to update and hopefully you can start the game. Once the game is loaded, go back online and it should continue playing.

    Let us know how you get on.

    Hate this XBOX ONE!!!!

    your bent out of shape at your xbox and its your internet that's causing the speed it downloads. Yes, if you turn it on and it says it needs a update. If you just turn it back off, the next time you turn it on it will still need that update. Let it update
    like the rest of us need to do and stop crying because things don't work exactly when and how you want them to.

    WILL APPS AFFECT GAMING?

    They need to make an update that will test ur system speed before each app is installed then MS needs to use this info to see just how few XBL users are marketable to apps they want to waste time on

    Warning ! Do not brick your controller . New controller update procedure stay away like the plague.

    I do not think it actually needs updating unless one has bought some kind of headset adapter kit. If you have not bought this kit, then even though the feature to update is there , you do not need it yet. I am sure there will be many times in the future
    when we will be forced to do controller firmware updates as time goes by, to fix quirks. Right now, its just the adapter issue, and updating the controller to work with new stereo headsets.

    and were back to speed comments ? your speed wont matter if there is a issue with download on day one will it half way though or something my speed is fine but i dont want to wait any longer than i need to so why not have the update for people to get a day
    or so before ready ?
