Just bought my xbox one doesn't work because of a console ban

Console bans are permanent you will need to contact the seller and ask them to replace the console or refund your money.

Just tell them it doesn't work. Tell them they sold you a banned console. It sometimes takes a while for a console ban to go through so the ban might have been put in motion way before you bought the console.

I bought my Xbox 360 from Woolworths, a store that doesn't exist any more, yet I've never been banned. So when you bought your console doesn't really matter.

Hopefully you will forgive use if we are sceptical because I could count on one hand the amount of 'innocent' folk who've actually turned out to not have done anything.

I do agree that Microsoft should provide an explanation on why a console was a banned, just as they do with accounts.

Modding a console is not the only reason for a ban though. Repeated violations of the Terms of Use and Code of Conduct by accounts that are used on the console can also result in a console ban. So if you have friends who do "naughty" stuff and they play on
your machine, that is black marks against you as well.

I was playing Warzone last night, then around 9:50 I got disconnected and a message popped up saying my console was banned. This morning I tried to see if i could connect to Xbox Live and i was still banned. I figured maybe it was a technical issue so I went to the system settings and it said my Xbox updated around 9:50 which is the same time I got disconnected and banned.

Contacting support was pointless. I can still access my account but that doesn't help because I doubt a console ban would show up there because it hasn't.

The only reason I bought the Xbox was because of GamePass and now I can't use it and still have a few years left on my subscription. Microsoft knows GamePass is one of the biggest reasons people like me chose them over Sony. If anybody else has been console banned I would appreciate it if you responded.

One more question actually since I bought the Xbox series x out of country does that mean that my rocket league and my fortnite code wouldn't be region free? Because if so I just wasted 300 bucks on a console that I'm probably not going to use. I was going to use it if the codes worked on the game system but if one part works and the other doesn't I don't get why I bought something I'm not going to use
