Just bought a XBOX ONE X and am having a disaster of an experience.. :(

Just purchased the console today with Call of Duty Modern warfare HARD COPY of actual disc... IN the store...

I put the DISC in and it copies over the data - around 9 GB.

I hit the icon on the menu screen and it says it needs to download updates before I can play it.

The download update is a whopping 100 + GB

I have slow internet, I dont play online (just campaigns).

Why are the games like this on Xbox??

I thought because i bought the actual retail Disc version, i would simply install it and play them like PS4 games??

I think ill return this console tomorrow with the game and just stick to other consoles as this is extremely disapointing.

I dont want to have to wait 2 days to just play a game i have bought.

Or am i doing something incorrect?

The size of the games increased every new generation of consoles, on the next generation will get even bigger because of the 4k, the sounds with better quality, and later the 8k. Now just pray to get the fiber soon

This is not unique to the xbox, iys the same fir all new games on PS4, XBOX, and PC

14 hours later and still not able to play!

Wake up thinking "oh great ill get to play it today" But nup it Now needs a 18 GB Data pack update to play campaign..

This is so rubbish.

I bet it aint like this with ps4..

the last of us is primarily a single player game so that usually does not need any massive updates, other games change as they are becoming more of a service than standalone games.
