Just bought a new LG TV, now my xbox one won't turn it on or off

Just bought a new LG55LB650BV TV, and my Xbox One can't control it. I've gone through the setup process, and it gets as far as the "sending volume up" command and it doesn't do it. I've also tried entering the model number manually, but that doesn't work
either. It worked fine on my old TV (also an LG), and ideas?

Xbox wont turn on my tv

I have a LG 42LM670S, same problem. It won't even turn my tv off neither on.

Issues connecting Xbox One to LG Smart TV via HDMI

Turn the Xbox off. Then turn the tv on . Select the hdmi input on your tv, then turn the Xbox One back on. I have a LG smart tv and it was just a simple syncing issue. Hit me up if this doesn't work.

Sorry to hear about the issue. Keep in mind that not every TV is coded to work with this feature. I recommend visiting the Remote Code Look Up page to grab the proper TV Remote Code for your TV. Once
you get the remote code, you can enter it in the TV Set Up screen on your Xbox One. To do that, follow the steps below:

Press the Menu button on your Xbox One controller and select 'Settings'.

In the Settings menu, go to 'Power & startup'.

Select 'TV & A/V power options' to get to the TV set up screen.

From here, set up your TV and manually enter in the remote code.

Post back and let us know if that helps!

I have an LG CX, tried a new HDMI port, then a new cord then power cycle etc. My fix was with the tv. Originally I turned off instant game mode.. annoying pop up for LG would come up every time so I simply turned it off... This changed how the tv received the data to the Xbox in way that causes the issue.. if you turned off instant game mode try turning it back on.
