I mean't like in the simplest questions. I seen about 1-2 Ambassador's should always know a simple question but didn't know the answer. I not saying in a offensive way just it's dissapointing.

"Classics" is just one of the labels for Xbox's "Platinum Hits" games. These are games that Microsoft has determined have sold brilliantly enough to warrant renewed availability at retail, and a lower price at retail and on the digital store.

Just a warning though: The multiplayer for RDR is completely borked online after being hacked several times. But you can invite a bunch of people to a private game of your creation and have at the great MP, with all the levelling and events, and without
the issues.

To increase your level in-game (in the multiplayer mode) I suggest starting a private free roam and just doing the hideouts by yourself to start off with to get the hang of the different activities etc.

Or even go into a friendly free roam, I'm not sure how many people would be using mods in there as you can't kill each other, it's be years though since I played it. I personally used to love playing poker, was good fun.

 

@Digi ~ Nah mate the MP is completely borked, not by individuals using individual mods or hacks, but by one individual who destroyed the entire game world. Rockstar fixed it and within a week it was borked again. Seems it's easier to break than it is to
fix.

When you enter Free Roam all of the NPC's are laying prone, as if hogtied, and they're all calling for help. You can't interact with them but if you shoot one you'll start levelling up 1XP per milisecond, if you don't quit out you could conceivably hit the
level cap without effort. Players are invisible to one another for the most part, and you can't call your horse - if it ever does show up it'll be a donkey.

It's just wrecked. You have to enter an online game, bring up the in-game menu, start a private match, then send your invites out, and fill your own little private match with cowboys to play properly. Public Free Roam is unplayable. =( *** shame, s'a great
game.

 

Darn I did not know RDR online had gotten so bad. I also suggest private matches.

 

So what about private free roam? Can you still roam around doing the coop activities? To be honest, that's how I got the majority of my XP, especially when they had the double XP weekends and that's crazy to hear about how bad it actually is, why would someone
do that?

The last time I played everyone had golden pistols that could one shot you from across the map, unlimited ammo, invisibility, invincibility etc. but if you ignored them or went into a friendly free roam it was ok because the modders would stay out of that
section.

Glad I got all the achievements in that game when I did!

 

You can do a private match but only in the way I mentioned, at least that's the only way I could do it. Go online first and then go from there, via the game-type menu, to a Private Match. If you try to start a Private Free Roam directly from the singleplayer
game -- the game gets stuck on a loading screen.

I forgot to mention too that another of the many 'features' of the broken multiplayer is... if a player approaches a Hideout in Public Free Roam it immediately gives that player the base completion XP, with no kills scored. Just approaching one.

As to why. Apparently some too-wat Morpheus wannabe and the initials GM did this to highlight how poor Rockstar's support for RDR had been, allowing cheaters to thrive and whatnot. But all he did, really, was break a game many, many gamers were still enjoying
in spite of too-wats like him ruining it on a smaller scale. >=|

Really great way to prove that point and who was he proving it too? Who cares THAT much? Oh, job well done bro, you really showed us how bad they are, now can I please play RDR?

It also didn't stop GTAV's domination of sales when it released so thumbs up to that dude, he really fought the power.

I'm going to have to check RDR online out to see if that's true. Last time I played it played great, but then again that was probably two years ago.
