Just a suggestion to Microsoft about next Xbox.

I would like to give my suggestion to Microsoft Xbox staff about winning the console war sales with the next Xbox incase you don't win this one. First of all you may have to beat Sony to the punch to get a good lead and headstart like with Xbox 360. But
only problem with that system is it had a glitch in which you guys lost billions(around 1 to 2 billion I heard). So I hope you guys watch out for glitches in the next system. You led the way over Sony in second place back on the Xbox 360 I believe you can
do it again just come out with the next Xbox early.

The discs you put into your console will not work. They are designed to play on a very specific combination of hardware and run in conjunction with a custom operating system.

However Microsoft are now branding games across their services as "Xbox" games. As you can see by the picture of my Windows 8 Start Screen. Xbox is not just a console brand any longer.

Also with SKYPE rumoured to be replacing the current chat system on the next Microsoft console, you could be cross-chatting with people on the PC.

Yes the RROD was an issue but not as widespread as you'd think. In no way did it cost them 1-2 billions.

The major feature is gaming with friends. Also, I'm talking about allowing this for Gold members. I have a Gold Family Pass + 1 extra for my youngest son and 3 xboxes. I'm logged in to Live now on my PC and I do so from my phone as well but I cannot:

1. Send and receive voice messages with other xbox live gold members **edit. Thank you for that link voteDC. On my way to dl that now

2. Party chat with other gold members

3. Play xbox games on my Microsoft Windows computer

Again, I'm not saying "hurr Microsoft is teh dumb". This is a forum where existing users can make suggestions about what they'd like to see added to the service.

I don't have the skills or education to comment on the technicalities of allowing Gold Members' xbox games to be played on a compatible computer that runs Microsoft Windows. There may be real hardware issues or perhaps digital rights management concerns
- but..

It is the future of gaming. Integrated. Adaptable. Mobile.

Also, apologies to The Storm for raising a separate issue in his thread but I was kinda hoping someone might comment on the idea of a mobile version of what gold members currently experience on xbox live. I'm shopping around for iControl pad style controllers
at the moment to work with family's Android phones but I'm having a hard time finding one that's compatible with the different phones. I was hoping to avoid having to buy PS Vitas because... well.. u know. Plus I don't have a PS3. Really, if I had a special
wishing genie, I'd wish for Windows phones for myself, my 3 sons and their father, special (branded) modified xbox style controllers that are designed to clip onto and work with windows phones and the ability to log on using our gold accounts to a Google Play
style site where we could buy and download games (+the existing movies, music, etc) for the phone, then
play them online with other xbox live gold members - just like we do on xbox live today

..sounds like I'm wishing for a lot lol but, really, all of the technologies already exist to allow it.

Party Chat isn't available, so you've got that correct. Got to keep something exclusive for Gold members I suppose.

online play over LIVE on the PC.
