Just a rookie looking for some help!

Hey guys,

I bought my XB1 today and am thrilled! I'm a complete rookie when it comes to xbox overall, moving straight over from a PS3.

I bought DR3 with the console and am waiting forever for it to finish installing. anyone else have this issue?

Have pre-ordered Titanfall, other games on the list are CODG, Ryse and looking forward to alien: isolation.

The install times can be quite annoying. I've just installed the game Thief a few days ago, which took more than 5 hours (I don't know how much longer, because I went to bed before it finished). I've also had games that I've been
able to play after about 30 minutes. These inconsistent install times, especially when installing from a disc really need to be addressed.

Because this is an online multiplayer game, you will need to buy a gold subscription to play it.

 

Wow, hearing some these install times makes me feel lucky. When I installed Thief it was done in an hour and a half or so which I thought was pretty terrible. I just played State of Decay for a bit while I waited.

If I remember right DR3 let me play after about 10% installing I think all games need that option as Thief never gave it to me.

I have noticed this problem when installing games aswell, The issue has not been addressed but there is a quick fix you can do. You just have to make sure your not connected to the internet while you are installing the games this drastically cuts down
the installing time. It can be a bit annoying having to disconnect just to install a game but it is all we can do until they have a proper fix for this.
