June update preview

So far the June update has been working great. As far as the external hard drive support, all I can say is that this is greatest feature that everyone has been waiting for since launch, especially with a list of great titles being released this year. I
did have some minor hiccups when transferring some data, as some of the games I have are on disc and needed to be updated first before transferring. I also do appreciate how the store is starting to look, however, I would like to see games categorized by
letter so it will be easier to just click on the letter a game starts with to find it rather than scrolling. I understand that since games are limited on the One that this feature isn't probably of great importance, but hopefully it can be implemented in
the future. All in all, this has been a major update I and others have been waiting, and cannot wait to see what's in store next.

How do I get the new update?

I'm in the preview program but for some reason I didn't get the update that came out in June.

 

Windows 10 with DX12 officially launching in July

I think the Xbox update will be a little behind, I think July or August for preview members.

It would be a lot to have every Windows 10 device launch/be available/update at the same time but if MS can pull it off more power to em.

 

so when or how do u get the up date so one can add a external hard drive to the xbox one

 

Please fix...the kinect will send out the "on" command to devices...tv...cablebox..etc when restarting from a system update...this in turn shuts off any device that is already powered on....when updating firmware it should temporarily disable the command
so nothing shuts off.

 

I am not in the preview program and even I know you all are posting in the wrong section. Try going to your preview sections of the forums.

 

Many People including me are not able to access the peview forum.....hope MS can fix this issue soon!

One thing for me and probs for most people is while watching tv, is notifications popping up

As with the xbox 360this can be turned off while watching a DVD or video

Will this feature be implemented in future for the xbox one?

You will have the update tonight for the new features including external hard drives,

One tip, once the external hard drive is formatted for the XboxOne you will not be able to use the hard drive on a pc.

InTranceWeTrust, you will be able to turn off notifications.

I'm sure you will like the update very much.

 

I haven't got a external hard drive yet, but I'm very pleased the support has finally arrived, because my hard drive is running out of space.

Also the ability to use your real name is a cool feature, but I'm just going to keep using my Gamertag, and I know you can display both but I just prefer the Gamertag.

Great job to Microsoft BTW keep the updates rolling in.

 

I would also like to add something that Microsoft could do about the battery indicator on the dash board, when I'm playing games there is no warning that the battery is about to run out like on the 360 controller it starts doing a 360 degree warning to say
your battery is about to run out, so maybe Microsoft could do a Software update were the home button on the Xbox one controller starts to pulse in and out. I really hope Microsoft does this because the only way I know my battery is going to run out is when
it runs out and I plug my charge cable in. I know I can check on the dash board but it was more fore warning on the 360. Also when you say Xbox record that it doesn't respond and it can be quite annoying, maybe you could do an update so when you want to record
something you can hold down the back button for 2 seconds and it will start recording which I think is a cool idea.

 

Alright, so I'm in the program but I haven't got any Updates yet, It's taken way too long, can you guys do anything about this?

 

^Aside for fyer, I haven't seen any of the gamer tags since 2014...don't know how much help they'd be. Post in the preview forums for best results.

I have not received any update from Preview program like it said it would update in the next 48 hours, here it has been a week and some odd days with no update from previous OR the new one. Please Preview team! help fix this!
