I'm gunna have to save up for that 4TB. Then again, I could probably do with separating my stuff so I might even just get 2 x 2TB and move all the games off my console and use it just for apps and have my games split between 2 devices. One for GwG (like
you Slaphead mate) and one for games I buy.

 

Honestly, I think this is such a dreadful xbox update. What about updating the party system so you can host parties and that hosts can kick people from parties? What about the option to snap Skype? Oh no, you're too interested in letting other people see
our names! Come on, this is not good enough! It's like you're completely leaving your chat system behind! You need to fix this if this is going to be a perfect console, Microsoft.

 

@Cloud That's a good idea and the cheaper option. The only downside that I can think of is more leads and 2 power supplies (if keeping them plugged in), for that reason I'm swaying more towards the 4TB.

 

@Dark, you can snap skype however applying snap to an application is down to the application developers.

And the names is one very small part of this update, which I suspect is a small part to link to certain 3rd party applications, it might seem irrelevant now but I suspect there is a more long term reason.

 

Slaphead, very true mate. I didn't think of the extra space and that's something I am very limited on at the moment. Curious question, do these devices need room to breathe so they don't get hot or can I squeeze them in anywhere?

 

I already have this update and it has aload of problems already lol.

 

@Cloud I have no idea but I went ahead and ordered the 4TB this evening. I'll have a look and see if instructions say anything about ventilation etc. Won't plug in till I get the update but when I do I will let you know about heat etc.

 

Thank you mate. Never used one myself and if it needs breathing space, then I'm gunna have to change my setup. There's 'just' enough room for it to slot down the side of my TV

Apex what problems do you mean? Is anyone saying that you are not appearing on their friends list? I had one of those. I see them on my list but they cant see me on theirs. Hopefully the public update fixes it.

the xbox one has been out a few months and all our hard drives are full so there answer is make us all go spend another £100 odd on an external hard drive that in say 3 years you will need another and so on (some people had to save hard for there system
and now are stuck unless they find more money which just isnt on)LET US EITHER SWAP THE INTERNAL OR REVERT BACK TO HOW THE 360 RUNS),yet my xbox 360 has 300 games + 90 arcade games on a 250gb hard drive with masses of space left so there for if this console
is ment to last 10 years then your going to need a fair few hard drives if your like me and get a lot of games .

WTF do i need a "show my name for" my friends on xbox no my name BECAUSE FUNNILY ENOUGH THEY ARE MY FRIENDS lol and if there gamers ive meet online i will tell them my name if i so choose to and dont need a button to do that
