    I've been facing problems with the TV "black screen of death" for months. That seems to be behaving a bit better (not having to cold-reboot 3x/day - maybe a few times/week). But I too am now seeing this "lost TV signal" issue. Tried replacing all my cables
    thinking that there was a connection problem but, apparently, it's yet another software glitch. As a fundamental capability - watching TV - I really wish Microsoft would go above and beyond in its testing of this application.

    My provider is Comcast and my setup box is a Motorola RNG200N.

  2. Hey, guys! The "lost signal" error is not the information I am gathering for. I'm gathering info for the HDCP error that people have been getting as seen
    here. The issue has been bubbled up to the proper teams, and once that is resolved, may resolve the "lost signal" error as well.

    The steps provided aren't a way to fix it permanently, just troubleshooting steps to verify that it's not going away. There currently is no fix, but know that we are working on it and that I am still gathering everyone's information that is having the HDCP
    error and sending it up.

    Jaded - Thank you for not only posting up your information, but bringing that other thread to my attention. I will pop in there and let everyone know what is going on, too.

    Hey guys! Need a bit more information. Just to verify, I want to make sure everyone having the
    HDCP issue specifically is on the July update.

    Head over to
    find your console operating system
    for me and tell me the entire line you see there. I'm gathering that little bit of information now as well.

  5. I'm having the same problems as OneOfTheseDays. I also have a directv set top box. Glad to know it's a software problem. Hoping for a fix very soon, cuz I like the tv functionality.

  6. I have the hardware isn't licensed issue, grainy, stuttering screen. Also loss of tv signal. I never noticed it until the July update. I think it is the directv equivalent of the HDCP issues other gamers are experiencing.

    I am facing "lost TV signal" message after July update. The signal comes back after around 2 min. This issue is really frustrating as it was working perfectly fine before the update and never faced any issues not even once. I tried selecting tv connection
    as "hdmi" and the resolution of the TV and cable box are the same at 720p but still nothing changed.

    I have a humax receiver and use it as a satellite only as one guide in not available in my county.

    to see what countries the Xbox One is currently supported in.

    For everyone else, if you had the HDCP error, the August update should resolve that. Please post back and let me know if it has! July update completely broke quality of live tv experience :D

    I live in the UAE and it is under the xbox live support community ; and the august update did not fix the lost signal issue. Can u advise on the actions that needs to be taken for this issue.

  11. Yes, AlRafik, the UAE does have Xbox Live support, but the Xbox One is not currently supported there. That is likely the reason why you are running into some issues with the device.

    The latest update has *** up my live TV signal as well. The video is really jumpy and is especially noticeable during live sports. I have never had a problem with the TV app. I've tried a hard reset and rebooting the app. Nothing works

  14. I have the same issue on att uverse stb Motorola. It sometimes will show the hdcp error on the tv screen but most of the time it goes to a grainy picture and will show the xbox hdmi tv disconnected error. It occurs when switching channels. I can not
    get it back just by quitting the tv app. I have been most successful going into a game for a little bit then going back into the tv app.

    Hi misses, I am persistent to find a resolution for the lost TV signal. To make it very clear the issue is that when the system starts and you lunch tv I receive " lost tv signal" then after about 10 seconds the screen shows and then I do not have any issues.
    I tried direct TV reboot feature with the September update but again same issue the Tv app launches directly and I receive " lost TV signal" for 19 sec that things go fine. Again, I never faced this issue not even one before July update. Awaiting your response
    because I am not seeing any progress on this or updates from your side..... We need to know what's going on
