July 8th beta system update

Yup! Ran into this the other night. There was a mandatory factory reset to your console due to a corruption in the OS. Once it updates again and you get signed in, you'll have the option to import your previous settings and your games/apps will still be
installed. The article posted by Smwutches will have all the deets.

 

System Update July 5th 2018

I would recommend that you join the Xbox Insider program by downloading the Insider App on your console. As part of the program you can preview upcoming changes, and give feedback to the developers. The more User feedback that they get, the better they
can tune the system for use and comfort.

 

Does it allow the snapping of the friends list?

 

@KALEEF Not yet, you can snap the Activity feed and the new snap feature of snapping achievements is quite cool though.

 

Snapping achievements is a good addition, especially with the ability to be able to get help with them.

A few things are sorely lacking from the snap tab, namely messages, friends, and recent players would have been a great addition. Why they're not there is beyond me.

 

Is there anything that shows you party invites? If your not in front of the XBox when it comes through you have no way of knowing you had an invite as it never shows as a new message

 

It shows in notifications at the top of the screen.

 

Loving the snap achievments update! Particularly as it shows progress! Good update!

WHEN/IF are we going to get an update on a visual sign on the Xbox One controller that the battery is low, like we did on the 360 controller were the select button used to flash when the battery was getting low

 

@ Pilot Pedro that would be a good addition , nothing worse playing a game of Fifa and your battery's chuck it and the other person score's !!!

Alas it would still probably be no good for me as I never noticed the feature on the 360 !!
