Juicy Xbox One exclusive game rumors for 2018

Sure I remember the [highly-underrated] Vanquish! It's a critical darling but sank without a trace due to poor sales. Very surprised to hear they're resuscitating it! Where are you hearing these rumors, brandiesel? Because I'm on top of everything 'X-related'
I can get my peepers on, but there's nowt about Vanquish that I can recall ^_o

  3. The problem is, what else is the reason to buy a system? Console or PC. I made the Xbox 360 my console of choice last generation because of the wealth of exclusive games I wanted to play on it. It was for that reason I bought an
    Xbox One this generation.

Yet as time has gone on I am regretting that choice more and more. I find myself thinking "why have an Xbox One when all the games I want for the system I can also play on my PC and that includes 'exclusives'."

I find myself thinking more and more of selling my Xbox One and getting a PS4. If Microsoft are going to keep putting their best games on PC as well I won't miss out, yet I will miss out on the PS4 exclusive games.

Personally speaking, and I know I've said it before, Microsoft need to start making their games console exclusives again or more and more people are going to question the point of having an Xbox.

Juicy Xbox One exclusive game rumors for 2018

Having all of their games on PC was a horrible decision for them, but good for us.

The X is a great system, but PS has so many more great games and it's not even close. I'm thinking of getting a PS4 soon. I'll wait until E3 to see what games Xbox announces. If nothing great is on the horizon I'm jumping ship. I see less and less a reason
to have an Xbox over a PS. I couldn't careless about party chat, I actually hate it and it has ruined online gaming or me so all i want is games games games. PS is the place to go.

  5. It was very good for the PC gaming community that Microsoft started releasing their exclusives on Windows, but I really don't see, as you mention, how it helps the Xbox division.

All Microsoft have done is give more people a reason not to get a Xbox One. All the features that used to be a reason to stay such as creating and joining a party chat are now available on Windows 10, all the features and no need for an Xbox Live Gold subscription
to access them. It is like Microsoft sat down and thought "well we are already behind in sales, lets give people another reason not to buy our console."

Microsoft had the operfect base to jump into this current generation with the Xbox 360, you have wonder where they went wrong.

I dont give a hoot about PS4 and their exclusives. Why get PS4 when multiplayer is free on PS4. Why get PS4 when their 12 month subscription fee is $10 more than XBL (RRP from Sony $89.95 vs. $0 Pc and $79.95 NZ). Why get PS4 when it has weaker hardware
than XBOX ONE X. And dont tell me specs dont matter cause that is what PS4 fans have been bashing. their console being better specs than xbox one s/original and 360. Why would i want to associate with these sort of people who are so discriminate about xbox.
Microsoft in their terms acknowledge NZAustralian legal rights. Sony doesnt in their terms but microsoft does in their terms.

PC has far more games and far more sells and far more users than PS4. Why get a PS4 if its gonna cost more than $100. Why get a PS4 if it cant play 4k bluray disc movies. Why get a ps4 if it doesnt have an SSD. You meet great boys girls men women (well i
may not get along with the people on this forum who make up less than like 0.0000000001% of those on xbl. staying away from the sony degenerates that instigated the console wars. Why get a ps4 when sony isnt the largest software company in the world. Why go
PS when minecraft came out a year earlier on xbox than it did ps3. Ive even made some friends with some forum moderators too xd.

  7. We've covered this. For the exclusive games. The simple fact is that Microsoft have committed to releasing all their exclusives on the PC. Now this is great for PC gamers but it kills the reason they have to purchase an Xbox One of any variety, no matter
how powerful the hardware may be.

For me as a person who has both an Xbox One S and a fairly decent gaming PC, why on Earth should I buy the games on the Xbox? I get to play the games with a keyboard & mouse and an Xbox One controller. I get all the benefits on Xbox Live (minus Games With Gold
I admit) and I don't have to pay a penny for them. I get more graphical options.

There really is no reason for me to continue to own a Xbox console when every part of Xbox I want is available on PC.

However there is a compelling reason for me to get a PS4 even if the hardware is weaker. It has games I want to play that I can't get anywhere else. Plus power means almost nothing when the designers are going to have to make sure every game is the best it
can be on the base systems. Games aren't designed for the Xbox One X or PS4 Pro, they are designed for the original Xbox One and PS4.

This is the same on the PC side of gaming, take a look at the Steam Hardware Survey because most people aren't running a top of the line system. Developers don't target a 1080Ti, they aim to make the game the best it can be on lower end hardware and the powerful
stuff gets a few extra pieces of graphical frippery.

Price of the subscription, pretty much the same price if you don't buy direct from the companies. For some reason buying direct is the most expensive option.

Yes some PS4 owners bragged about the power of their system, that's because they were fanboys who felt the need to defend their purchase. There were just as many fanboys on the Xbox side, please don't kid yourself that there weren't.

Juicy Xbox One exclusive game rumors for 2018

Good to see this thread getting some love Juicy Xbox One exclusive game rumors for 2018 :)

I could've easily quoted anything that Zen's said (a lot of very constructive and valid points there), but for the purposes of illustration, I'm gonna return to the status of the official publications - having now collected my April 2018 edition of OPS.
The cover star is Yakuza 6, yet *another* platform exclusive and even though it's not my cup of tea (or sake lol), it nevertheless proves that no matter what 'X' amount of 'X' fanboys think or say, the PS4 is without a shred of doubt THE MARKET LEADER. It's
also a truism that there's "strength in numbers", which prolly accounts for the sheer weight of games coming to the platform.

There was a time when I would scoff at the competition, comfortable as I was in my hermetically-sealed Microsoft bubble. But then something changed. I bought a [Glacier White] PS4 Pro because I could no longer turn the other cheek. I'm currently playing
Tales of Berseria, an honest-to-goodness JRPG that's worth every bit of its platform exclusivity! I'd like to think Xbox offered something similar - and it did - Tales of Vesperia. But that harks back to the 360 era, when things were so very different for
    Microsoft.

Yesterday I also picked up Issue 327 of GamesMaster - a multiplatform gaming magazine from England. It's celebrating its 25th Anniversary (most definitely something to celebrate in this godforsaken digital hegemony) and there's a cover stamp announcing "THE
FIRST 100% REVIEW! After 25 years we hand out our first ever perfect score". ZOMG really? I quickly opened to the contents page. Hmm, Monster Hunter World? Dragon Ball FighterZ? Nope. It was Shadow of the Colossus. Another beast of a release from the market
leader! WHO KNEW? Juicy Xbox One exclusive game rumors for 2018 :p

I'd like to think there's something *huge* waiting in the wings for Microsoft's E3. I'd LIKE to think that, but unfortunately at this very moment in time, I have ZERO preorders for any new games on Xbox, and precisely no inkling of what's around the corner
    - apart from Sea of Theives and State of Decay 2 (which are both incoming). Is it enough to sway me from the competition? #NoComment

Xbox is a great system. It is not prone to viruses unlike PC. It has the simplicity in that a controller is much simpler than having over a dozen buttons on a PC keyboard. And XBL is cheaper than PSN (source, Sony/Microsoft NZ).

Games I'm going to get into this year is (1) Cities Skylines on PC (2) Sea of Thieves on Xbox One X (3) The Sims 4 on PC (4) Cities Skylines on PC (5) due out late this year, Jurassic World Evolution from Frontier, on PC (6) this infinite mini golf game
on Xbox One X. Even though I have over 20 Xbox One X and over 20 Xbox 360 games, I pretty much now rarely play them. I've mostly given up on Minecraft since hardly anyone is playing it on Xbox One and I'm waiting like forever for Microsoft to get out the super
duper graphics pack. (7) Planet Coaster, on PC.

Will also look into getting this month, Life Is Strange After The Storm. I've played the first series on Xbox One on my day one console which is now in storage. However I'll get the PC version off Steam since Steam is selling it for NZ$23.99 and Microsoft
for Xbox is NZ$39.95. NVidia Shadowplay is also a much more reliable game video capture device than my Hauppauge HD PVR2 that I used to use a lot, to record Xbox gameplay and share to YouTube. My custom gaming desktop PC has a high end Intel Core i7-6700k
4.2Ghz processor and an EVGA GTX 1070SC 1888Mhz overclocked GPU with a Samsung EVO 850 1TB SSD. Wait until Goth sees my post. I've stated my PC specs again and for the first time this year.

Xbox One X is still great and I still see it's uses:

    - Sea of thieves

    - YouTube

    - Netflix

    - Have an 87% full friends list from Xbox 360 and over 100 friends on Xbox One (actual friends, not this following nonsense).

I don't really like the UI on Xbox One but it has improved a lot from the appalling state it launched as back in November 2013. Even today there's still a lot of clutter. The Activity Feed section which takes up a whole dashboard section. I used to own a
PS4 Pro for a few months to play Final Fantasy XV in better graphics since Xbox One X didn't launch till months later and Final Fantasy XV was long overdue from Square Enix (first announced in 2006 as Final Fantasy XIII-Versus). Now on Xbox One's Activity
section, all the boxes are now random sizes instead of a uniformed. Xbox One should have a more uniformed and faster UI like Xbox 360 and PS4. Honestly, you have to press so many buttons with Xbox One's UI. And the UI has been the biggest gripe for me on Xbox
One. For Xbox and PC gaming, I use a Sony KD43X8000E 4K HDR TV which I got in January. It has excellent anti-aliasing, Triluminos advanced colour technology bringing beautiful rich natural broader colour palate, an X-Reality-PRO processor, and Android 7.0
which is a much more secure OS than Samsung's Tizen OS. And it has voice commands, which Microsoft is behind the times since they have a pretty hard time understanding simple English NZ dialect which is pretty much English, where as all these other companies,
Google, Apple, etc have voice commands in NZ, without having to change your Xbox settings and pretend to be US or UK change locale in order to use voice commands.

As for FH4, I'm sticking to FH3. Final Fantasy XV and Assassins Creed Origins I have on Xbox One X and will look at getting around to these games too this year. I've tried a little of AC Origins and the graphics look very good. I like simulation games and
games with good graphics and which are fun for me. My first Xbox 360 game when I got the console late 2010 was Final Fantasy XIII, my first Final Fantasy game. And yes, that game had good graphics at the time and I liked the story and battle system and simplicity
    of the game.

  10. The Xbox One, of any variety, is a great system. The quality of the hardware isn't really in question. Rather it is simply is that worth the lack of console exclusives?

As to being prone to viruses on PC. My first PC was a HP Brio BA600, almost 20 years ago now. I got absolutely ripped off because I walked into the shop and pretty much said "I want a PC". They must have been rubbing their hands together at my foolishness.
But you know what, in all those years I've not once been infected with a virus, nor have I gotten any malware that MalwareBytes couldn't remove. Why is this? It's because I'm not an idiot and that is how the vast majority of infections happen.

Could I ask the question of why you want Sea of Thieves on the Xbox One X when you have such a powerful PC and the game can be played with a Xbox One controller on your system? Your PC should easily be able to handle the 4k 30fps the One X is playing the game
at. I admit confusion given your post as to why you'd go for the Xbox One X for a single game, when it isn't even a console exclusive, given your apparent preference for the PC on other titles?

Another question if I may. Is Life is Strange any good? I've had it on my Steam library for a while but never gotten around to playing it. I love Telltale's stuff, so is this something as good?

In musical terms, Life Is Strange is a BANGER! \o/

I've just played the bonus episode for the prequel (LIS Before The Storm: Farewell) and it's... well, just a "bonus". I returned to play it on Xbox because I'd bought the digital deluxe version, but there wasn't a single achievement tied to it. That said,
I've one hundred percented both LIS and BTS, so there's not much more to see. However, the overall takeaway is that I'm now partial to double dipping... multiplatform titles give me a reason to go trophy hunting. So yes, I preordered the BTS collector's edition
and will embrace it when time permits <3

In terms of comparing LIS to Telltale's stuff, there's still a little roughness to the edges (these aren't big budget releases but rather arthouse experiences), but the quality of the writing, characterization and story arcs means that you'll be on the edge
of your seat for the most part. I downloaded Tales from the Borderlands as a GWG freebie, but truth be told, after being spoilt by Life Is Strange, I don't think I could revert to [arche-]type, because Dontnod and Deck Nine have essentially raised the bar
    \o/

When I say jump ship I don’t mean get rid of the Xbox, but my main console will be PS.

I’m surprised I don’t own one yet to be honest. I’ve owned pretty much every console of every generation that I can think of including all PS consoles.

I always said once the new GoW comes out I’ll buy the PS. Just not sure if the Pro is worth it over the base console?

Juicy Xbox One exclusive game rumors for 2018

If memory serves, you've bought a new 4K telly, amirite? Juicy Xbox One exclusive game rumors for 2018 :p

I personally haven't been motivated to upgrade yet, because I already own a high-quality Triluminous panel [2K] from Sony. It's the bee's knees, and made even more buzzworthy (sorry) thanks to the new software update 5.50. It incorporates 'supersampling'
in the hardware layer and means that supported games give the best possible image for everybody - provided you're running the Pro. Was happily grinding away in Tales of Berseria, implemented the change and - presto! - now even the backgrounds are alive with
detail (quite the achievement, considering the game was rebuilt from a PS3 foundation).

Honestly, 4K assets on a 2K screen? The clarity is so good it makes my eyes water (unless I'm forgetting to blink lol). At this rate, I'm gonna need even *more* convincing to swap out the last-gen Bravia, never mind replace a perfectly good Xbox One S.

Note: I meant the PS4 has a new update, not the Sony telly (although it's a smart TV, so no doubt updates itself).

  15. Hey, this looks like an interesting thread so since it's a Saturday night for me I think I'll jump in Juicy Xbox One exclusive game rumors for 2018 :p

I tried PS4 when it came out, only cause my bf was on it. but my mum banned me from it and sold my console. I think she did it for my own good 'cause of these jerks. The people on XBOX are kwl but when I play mc with friends we ALWAYS run into split screeners.
The freak... Never ran into so many split screeners on XBOX 360.

I might try some new games this year. My bff has started Zoo Tycoon and Infinite Mini Golf, well, she's kinda into animals. Not
really into Forza but I know one of my friends I hang out with plays it.
