  1. Judder on TV watching sports on Freeview via USB TV Tuner

Hi I have been having issues watching TV (AU) via oneguide using the USB TV Tuner. It has been connected like this for the last 2yrs Any sports over the last 3 months have had a severe judder. It seems to getting progressively worse. Started with sports and
now have started on end credits on Tv shows and movies - even some standard tv shows show a judder now.

I have tried unhooking the cable and send straight to the TV - everything is fine. FYI running a Panasonic Plasma 10yrs old

I have not changed any settings on the Xbox or the TV during this time. I can't seem to find any answers on any other forums except to say have the setting at 50HZ - it is currently sitting at autodetect. I have moved it to 50hz default and it has not helped.

Is it because the Xbox is now trying to access some of the TV information via internet or does anyone know of any other cause. It is driving me insane.

    :)

Xbox one Digital tuner - poor signal

Ok, other (unrelated?) issues after a few hours watching. HD channels show heavy judder on fast panning scenes. Tonight's football match was an awful experience in HD freeview; frequent judders and frame drops, though the "50 hz" fix had been selected in
both the USB input and the HDMI output to TV. Needless to say, if I plugged the same aerial cable into the television the image was superb through its internal tuner. Also, the stuttering problem on selected SD channels persists. These could be symptoms of
a poor software implementation or of a very low tuner sensitivity. Disappointed.

You will probably need a freeview box. I'm not really sure how that all works because we don't have freeview in the United States. Assuming freeview boxes connect via HDMI, then you can use it on Xbox One. Otherwise you will need a freeview box and the Xbox
    One Digital TV Tuner.

If your TV has in-built Freeview, can you still use Live TV on your Xbox One, and how?

    In short, you can't.

Long answer: Freeview is (by my understanding) the UK equivilant of a built in digital tuner for broadcast (over the air) signals. Even if your TV has an appropriate HDMI output (say, for surrround sound), it would only be active when the TV was sending
the Freeview to its own screen. when you switch to another HDMI input (for your x1) the output would switch to sound output for your x1, which wouldloop on itself and could potentially damage your TV or console.

You will require an external Freeview tuner to take advantage of the x1's "Watch TV" feature.

    BBC iPlayer.

Enen, that's not a rumour, the Xbox One digital TV tuner is coming out in October and will cost 25 quid. It basically allows you to watch Freeview on the console, pause Live TV, use voice commands to change channels, works with DVB, DVB-2 and a 3rd one which
is DVB-C..? Anyways, you get your aerial lead and plug it into the tuner and then plug the USB bit into the Xbox One's many USB ports to be able to use the OneGuide. Should be able to use the Smartglass as an Xbox One media remote too.

The TV tuner is an alternative to a set top box which won't require you to use the HDMI in port.

OP don't you just need to select HDMI on your tv for xbox or however you currently select freeview now. In Australia we have the tuner built into modern tvs. So I either choose HDMI now for xbox or channel whatever number for our free to air channels. Given
you need to turn the tv on no matter what you are watching don't you just use your tv remote to select the xbox input or freeview?
