JRPGs on Xbox One

I'd buy them. Microsoft hasn't done much to show they're a place to go for them. Really they need exclusive titles they advertise they have. I found out about Lost Odyssey for example from magazine reviews. I see commercials for other games. Takes money
to make money. Most people that don't want the Xbox One I know day they have enough shooters to hold them over. They want an epic jrpg worn modern graphics. Not indy or old games released for download. Just saying.

 

JRPG games never sold well on Xbox platforms, so that's why you probably won't see a lot of JRPGs on Xbox One besides the fact that the Xbox brand was always a failure in Japan compared to PlayStation.

It would be nice to have more diverse selection of games though. Don't blame Microsoft, blame the Xbox gamers that never brought those JRPGs, the problem here is that most Xbox gamers only buy Shooters, Racing, and Sports games, but there are some Xbox gamers
that have better taste for games though just saying.

 

It seems Xbox and Microsoft is trying to make it easier for independent studios to publish and make games for the Xbox One. Keep in mind I know relatively nothing about making games or that process. Just from what I've seen online and from E3. (somebody
educate me)

My question is: If its become easier to publish to Xbox, what's stopping publishers like Xseed from brining great titles to the catalog?

 

I wont lose any sleep over this. I hate Japanese games with a passion but love the people so .... yea. The art is always the same ,ALWAYS big eyes small mouths huge oversized weapons. Just not for me. But for your sakes,you guys seem to want them so I hope
they bring them.

 

The fact that most Xbox gamers only play Shooters, Racing, and Sports games are stopping a few publishers like Xseed to bring their games to the Xbox One. Most Xbox gamers are not into Japanese games that much.

 

I too would love JRPGs to come to Xbox One in abundance. It is a genre that is sorely lacking, and it's the main reason I have a PS3. I will be picking up Kingdom Hearts 3 for Xbox One though. Can't wait!

 

Lost Odyssey was so underrated. Excellent game.

I actually like jrpgs. ni no kuni for ps3 was awesome.

I like turn based JRPGs, but I doubt that it would do well enough on the Xbox One for the developers to make a profit from them.

Lei Fang, I just finished "Cross Edge" on the PS3. The game got terrible reviews and it's rare, However I loved it. 360 sure has some excellent Jrpg's and shmups. The crowd I hang with at the non official PS forums are a bit similar to this forum. They don't
dis the XB1 at all and also want more Japanese gaming on the MS platform. It has to all be about sales right? with a decent dent on the Japanese market we might see some more foreign games come through. I've said it 1000 times but this is why I have several
consoles. Now understanding that this isn't so much affordable to all a good alternative is the Nintendo 3DS, that library is crazy.

 

Final fantasy can no longer be considered a JRPG, it is now a western style action RPG. I want more JRPG on Xbox one, otherwise like all generations I will have to buy all consoles... BTW Star ocean 5 NEEDS to come to Xbox one. FF can go walk off a cliff
with how bad everything past 12 has been( My opinion.) Phantasy Star would be amazing to have or even make some In house JRPG that is exclusive to Xbox one. Don't bring garbage JRPG to xbox one and then get upset when no one buys.

 

Kingdom Hearts 3 will be great but aside from releasing Pier Solar, Child of Light or that kind of RPG updated to have this gen's abilities I think that would help with sales of the XB1. I would buy them knew and know that many fans of the genre are dying
for something to sink their teeth into. Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon actually exceeded expectation and the CEO did say eventually there will be those kinds of games. I think it is a fan base that needs some more attention on this system.

 

"Stranger In Sword City" out JRPG's anything out there anywhere.
