Joystick Issue

Discus and support Joystick Issue in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Wondering what the source of this issue might be. Is it the game or the console?     Joystick Issue


    Wondering what the source of this issue might be. Is it the game or the console?

    I recently purchased COD Ops 3 and have been playing the campaign. Progressed through the first few missions with no issues with the controller. Then out of the blue, the tv screen went 100% digitalized for an instant and when it returned to the normal image,
    the right joystick was completely inoperable. Couldn't look up/down or turn left or right. The only way I could reset it was by ending the mission and restarting. Of course, this meant having to replay the entire mission from the start. Not a big deal but
    sure enough, at a different point of the game, the exact same issue reappeared. It's reoccured a few times since at various stages in the game. FYI, during one of the glitches & before exiting, I altered the joystick layout settings from default to legacy
    and this caused the left joystick to malfunction and the right one to become responsive again. This tells me it's not the controller itself.

    Thoughts?

    Hey there Blanks thanks for keeping in touch!

    Short answer no, IF THE CONSOLE IS CONNECTED TO THE INTERNETno progress or purchase
    data will be lost, what we accomplish by doing these steps would be to resync the game to the cloud getting rid of any corruption as a byproduct.

    The only case where XBL would be needed would be through a Xbox 360.

    We hope this clarifies this issue but let us know so we can get it resolved.

    Hey there Shootn!

    Well, if it seems to be the game itself and the previously posted troubleshooting steps don't help, then it might help to get with the developer about this. Whenever you get e chance, try and contact them via
    Activision support
    and see if they have some insight as to what's going on with the game.

    Hey there Shootn!

    Well, you can also try what we call a soft reset of the console.

    It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

    Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(asthey
    will be removed    ) and have easy access to your internet network.

    Also make sure that you select the option denoted
    reset and keep my games
    &
    apps.

    Follow the steps here on How
    to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One    and let us know how that helps with the issue

    If that doesn't work, then I guess you can totally try and get the game replaced.
