Joystick came off

Hi,

Thanks for responding. I am not sure what you mean. I have connected a Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS one (flight)joystick to my Xbox with the USB cable that came with the joystick. I am not sure what "pairing and syncing" you are referring to. The guide says "plug cable in and start Xbox" then I should be able to use the joystick as controller but the joystick remains unresponsive?

Downloaded using my GPU at 100% for 6 hours. Installed OK and ran until I pluged in a joystick when it came up with "Controller Detected' and never worked again, with or without controller. Uninstalled and reinstalled this time with the joystick connected
and it worked for 2 days! Then just started it again and it just came up with the content manager telling me it will install the 'recommended content' ie. the full 91.36GB that is the game. WAPOS

When your program starts , flick left joystick down to highlight ' Audio & Subtitles ' , which appears at the bottom of screen. Hit A button, then choose ' subtitles off '

You can toggle them on off, using the joystick etc.

I am playing with xbox one.. there are no settings to be found anywhere, in game or not, for the joysticks. For all the other buttons one can change them but there is nothing listed for the joy sticks. It does not matter what game, bring up the controller
in settings and nothing for the two joysticks.. I am trying at present to play Fallout 4. Very difficult to climb stairs or walk along walkways... a very slight move on joystick and the player is gone far off the path..or fallen into water or off the building...
it is really bad...

I want to repair my elite controller because the left joystick is broken and the grip behind fell off.
