    Jolly Cooperation?

Looking for someone who wouldn't mind starting a new playthrough and going through the game in coop. Anyone interested?

  4. Jolly Cooperation

This thread is centered on coop in Dark Souls 2 for the XBOX 360, I've seen how a lot of forums have served to pair players together for coop during discussions, so I made this thread with the intention to provide other DS2 players a thread to pursue when
they find themselves in dire straits with a boss.

Whenever stuck in Dark Souls 2 simply post a response featuring descriptions for your character, what they can do, what coop partner traits are ideal, and the current situation your are in.

As a hardcore role player, I have several characters set up right now, each with their own issues. I often like to personify each character I make and give them backstories and personalities. I will include these when providing dossiers.

This is a thread for Jolly Cooperation, and as such, manners should be paramount, be as quick to the point as you can, but also respect when a lot must be addressed.

Though I can't say for everyone else, when a person replies to me to help out, in exchange for their help, if they want I would summon their shade and reward them with an item from my inventory, something useful, maybe weapon or armor I don't want a brave
warrior soul for a tough boss fight, simply out of appreciation.

--For the curse of life is the curse of want, and what I want is friend.

  5. This is a dossier on my first and favorite character.

    Name: Alaron

    Gender: Male

    Game: NG+

    Soul Memory: 11,010,232

    Covenant: Dragon Remnants

    Loadout:

    RW1: Curved Dragon Greatsword

    LW1: Fire Drakekeeper's Greatshield

    LW2: Black Witch's Staff

    LW3: Pyromancy Flame

    Head: Raime's Helm

    Chest: Throne Defender Armor

    Arms: Royal Swordsman Gloves

    Legs: Havel's Leggings

Rings: Royal Soldier's Ring, Ring of Life Protection (Note: All my characters use one), Southern Ritual Band, Ring of the Living

Spells: Magic Weapon, Crystal Magic Weapon,, Repair, Lightning Spear, Sunlight Blade, Great Fireball, Flame Weapon, Dark Orb, Dark Weapon

Strengths: Lethal at CQC, Can absorb physical and most fire damage, can buff primary weapon to suit situation, high poise and stamina, moderate health, Alternate Attack of Greatsword gives limited mid-range combat ability. Basic offensive spells to take
advantage of enemy weaknesses, Can stagger and stunlock easily.

Weaknesses: No advanced spells outside of weapon buffs, no long range means of combat, slow attack speed, less resistant to strike, primarily effective as a tank and CQC combatant.

Backstory: Alaron is the last of warrior family from Forossa, whose family crest depicts a dragon taking flight. Prior to the fall of Forossa, his clan were known as eccentric, but brilliant warriors, utilizing magic and swordplay in ways that both inspired
and horrified allied and opposing forces alike. After the fall his clan was all but wiped holding the line, while Alaron left with his wife and the blessing of his family to pursue a life beyond Forossa in case they failed. This hope was lost when Alaron's
beloved was cursed and hollowed, inevitably mercy killed by Alaron so that she could harm no one, as she would have wanted. This occurred before he could sire an heir, and once cursed as well, Alaron set out to break the curse and join his beloved in peaceful
death. Alaron joined the Dragon Remnants covenant because he believed in living by his own strength and as such cared little for light or dark, and instead identified with honest strength of dragons.

Situation: Alaron is currently at Aldia keep, although the situation may not be dire, bad experiences their make me more comfortable with a glass cannon to back me up. If you have lightning spell and healing while I man the front lines then it will be
an easy win for us both.

  6. This is a dossier on my second character.

    Name: Alaric

    Gender: Male

    Game: NG

    Soul Memory: 3,561,231

    Covenant: Pilgrims of Dark

    Loadout:

    RW1: Magic Blue Flame

    LW1: Magic Magic Shield

    LW2: Magic Blue Flame

    Head: Thief Mask

    Chest: Raime's Armor

    Arms: Engraved Gauntlets

    Legs: Drakeblood Leggins

Rings: Third Dragon Ring, Ring of Life Protection, Southern Ritual Band, Covetous Silver Serpent Ring

Spells: Great Soul Arrow, Great Heavy Soul Arrow, Homing Soul Arrow, Homing Crystal Soul Mass, Soul Greatsword, Magic Weapon, Crystal Magic Weapon, Repair

Strengths: Effective against enemies weak to magic damage, dual wielding swords buffed with magic allows for strong offensive in a pinch, wide array of spells makes him effective at any range, agility, he fits the bill for anyone needing an agile glass cannon
who can fall back to swordplay when necessary

Weaknesses: Limited defenses, moderate poise, bowman can cause trouble, virtually helpless against magic resistant enemies, poor parry capacity and limited damage coverage (save magic) when blocking, not ideal for tanking through tough bosses, better reserved
    for quick damage.

Backstory: Alaric was born in Melfia, where he attended the academy as an inspired and passionate sorcerer. Known for being cold and anti-social, Alaric showed interest only in inspiring and innovative sorceries, and quickly mastered his craft at a young
age. He criticized traditionalists who scoffed at unorthodox magic, as their views stinted new discoveries, and eventually left so that he could discover new magic in the one area few dared to tread: Sword Magic. For a time, he roamed with Forossan mercenaries,
mastering swordplay, and then joined the Shadow Knight Order of Mirrah, so that he could mend his two masteries to invent new sorceries. Unlike his peers there, he fought his foes on even footing when possible to test his new spells and techniques, and never
used hush or fall control, seeing them as unnecessary for what he aspired to. When cursed, Alaric ventured to Drangleic to break the curse, not to be rid of it, but because the trials faced would give him greater challenges to invent and test new sorceries
    against.

Situation: Alaric is currently at Iron Passage in the Old Iron King DLC, the area itself is extremely frustrating to get through, but the Blue Smelter Demon is too much, as Alaric Sorceries are worthless and even when using other methods he has not been
able to prevail. He would need a lightning tank to help him smash the demon, and another, possibly an archer to help him reach the demon and survive the trek to him.
