Joining Xbox Live Parties and Invites to Games

I can join some of my friends invites, and I can join some of their parties. I recently made my little brother an account, and i can't join his parties, or any of his invites. Its not just him though. There is a couple of people on my friends list
whom I cannot join. Any quick fixes or suggestions? I don't have a NAT type error, not even an error message at all, and they don't either. I've racked my brain for hours on end with these support tabs. If you've had this problem and fixed it, please send
a message this way containing how you did it.

Parties, chats and game invites

Couldn't agree more , it's crap to be honest and when you join a party you then have to enable party chat , what's the point in that ?
They have over complicated the whole thing .
The amount of times yesterday people were texting and saying they "couldn't enable party chat" when they joined was crazy .
The whole invite system and chat needs looking into .
Set forza up yesterday and sent out the invites and no one in the game could hear voice until we left party chat then someone else set the party up.
Microsoft please sort this , there's no awards for over complicated party invites .

If I had friends on Xbox Live that would invite to their games or parties to talk and play with.

Sorry to hear about the issues you're receiving with parties. Let's go through some basic troubleshooting steps and get you back into the game!

You mentioned that you did already use support pages, which steps have you taken so far to fix this issue?

Which NAT type is yours specifically? Open or strict? Are the people you connect with the same people you play with frequently and can't party with them?

I'm assuming you and your brother are at different locations. I'd just check to make sure all of your friends have open NAT types because that can be an issue when it comes to parties with different types of connections.

Am also having this issue since the update. Cannot join parties, cannot invite people to party i've started either. Error message, 'can't connect to xbox live party'. Can join game invite and can invite people to game without any issues. Will try the above
when I get home, fingers crossed.

I can join parties and receive party invites just fine. The problem is the game invites. For example, I was trying to play Call of Duty: Warzone through a Looking For Group post. I join the party but then don't receive the game invite and can't invite
them to my game.

Same here - playing EA NHL Legacy on Xbox 360 - can't send game invites. Can't send any messages on Xbox 360. Can join another person's party by going to their profile and clicking join party, but can't send or receive a party invite. Even if they are in a joinable game though, the "Join Game" option does not appear on their profile, so without game invites there's no way for us to play a game together. This is awful - any fix soon?

Have one player start the game then invite the other person to a party. Once you have invited your friend to a party you will have an option in the pause menu to invite party to game, so once they join pause the game and there will be an option to simply
invite party to game.
