    Joining minecraft friends on xbox


    My friend and I play minecraft together. I have a xbox one s and they play on Nintendo switch. The last few days we have been playing together fine but I can never see them as online when I first join the game, either one of us will restart the game before we see each other. Now I tried to play with but I couldn't see them online when I knew they were. They created another world and I was able to join but as soon as they went back to the original one, I could no longer see them online. The multilayer option was on and it had worked every other day. Confused to what is going on and really sick of it.

    Is your friend trying to use "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" or the version just called "Minecraft" , If your friend trying to use the one called "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" I don't believe this version is able to join your Minecraft world.

    Is it possible that your friends signed up for the Minecraft Beta in the Insider App?

    If that's the case, your friends either need to leave the Minecraft Beta and play on the "regular" version, or you'll have to install the Xbox Insider App, and join the Minecraft Beta as well.

    I joined a minecraft realm with my friend yesterday but then today when i tried to get back on today it said i needed game pass to join my friends on minecraft now. why is this the case?

    To change the Minecraft Realm privacy for everyone, follow these steps:

    Open the Xbox app and select “Minecraft.”
    Select “Settings” and then “Privacy and security.”
    Select “Change online privacy and security settings.”
    Select “Everyone” to allow anyone to join your Realm, or select “Friends” to allow only your friends to join.
    Save the changes.

    hello minecraft only allows you to join your friend's games to avoid people joining random people's worlds and destroying em, so no games will be on the list unless your friend has minecraft and is online in his/her world.
