Hi i was trying to get xbox game pass on pc it has a subscription price of 1$ for the first month i had 2$ already in my account but when i tried to buy it with my account balance it just shows me options for pay the rest like credit card or redeem a code
etc. If its possible to join game pass with Microsoft account balance how much money is needed to get subscription? There is 1$ offer on store and i have 2$ but it looks like price tag is more than that. im not sure adding fund to my account is the solution
can anybody suggest anything?

Is it correct that when im signed out, my son cannot download any games from game pass?

As it says join game pass and join live etc on his account. But, up to now, the already downloaded game pass games load up and he can play online.

Since it starts a recurring subscription, you have to show that you're able to make the next payments. So you either have to have enough funds in your account for the next payment at the time of purchase or you have to add a credit card/Paypal, even of
you plan on turning off auto-renewal.

You must use a credit card or paypal dor any recurring oayment service like gold, or gamepass

I redeemed a 5$ gift card code and it worked however it was cost only 1$ but you need few dollars more than that in your account i don't know why
