Discus and support Joining and making Realms on the Nintendo Switch in XBoX Accessibility to solve the problem; So I have a switch. I bought Minecraft for it. I made a Microsoft account for it.     Joining and making Realms on the Nintendo Switch


    So I have a switch. I bought Minecraft for it. I made a Microsoft account for it. Because of that I've had a few problems but we're able to be solved. However, one that I haven't been able to solve is how I can join a Minecraft Realm from the switch. It tells me You cannot play on realms because of how you Microsoft account is set up. But what's weird is that Microsoft doesn't have any way to help because their only for Xbox and PC. So i need to know how I can change my privacy/safety settings to allow me to play in Realms.

    In order to change your account's safety and privacy settings follow the steps below:

    • Sign in to https://www.xbox.com with your Microsoft account.
    • Sign in to Xbox
    • Select your gamertag, and then select More options (…).
    • Select Xbox settings, and then select Privacy & online safety
    • Select either the Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety tab or the Privacy tab.
    • Review the current settings and update any that you want to change, and then select Submit to save the changes.

    Have you an active Nintendo Switch Online Subscription? I ask this because I found the following Q/A on Minecraft Nintendo Switch FAQ:

    Can I play Realms on this edition?

    Yes, Realms is available on the Bedrock edition of Minecraft for Nintendo Switch. To play online on a Nintendo Switch, you need to have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, so this is a requirement for playing on Realms. More information about Nintendo Switch Online can be found here.

    Furthermore, can you post the entire error message (better a screenshot/photo)?

    This question is asked because it's a requirement on console to have the respective subscription that allows us to use online features on paid games.

    PlayStation Plus (Sony PlayStation consoles)
    Nintendo Switch Online (Nintendo Switch consoles)”

    Also, just a reminder that to play online on a Nintendo Switch, you must have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. So this is a requirement for playing on Realms.
