joining a friend

so this ptoblem recently started between me and a friend of mine on xbox one, and its only him. we cant join eachother in a game, like R6. we need a mule to invite us together. and now on payday2, we cant join eachother, period. its really annoying and getting
in the way of just relaxing and having fun. i dont know if were the only ones, but any help is appreciated

my daughter is trying to join her cousin on Xbox. They are friends but when she goes to invite him to join her game it's greyed out??? How can she join him???

Depends on which game it is. Also, certain setting like parental locks could be blocking one of the accounts from joining.

 

I would suggest you to check the NAT type of your connection. If either you or your friend have a strict or moderate NAT type that will cause you issues in joining each other's game sessions.

As M3tal Daz3 has stated this can be an issue with NAT clashes. However this can also be caused by privacy settings on one or both of your profiles.

Failing that, there are other problems that can cause this including the type of connection you are both using, ethernet or WiFi.

However this is generally caused by NAT issues as already mentioned.
