Joining a cross platform server and only receive "Unable to connect to world" message

Good afternoon!

I have been a member on a cross platform Minecraft server for several months now. Recently, I have been unable to join this server anymore and I only receive the "unable to connect to world" message, but nothing more descriptive than that. There are several things I can think of causing this but none are clearly the cause. The server recently changed hosting platform which was my initial thought of what's causing the issues; it could be that the server was physically too far for me to connect to, or it no longer supported Pocket Edition players, however I am able to connect using my mobile data still (this isn't really a viable option as it becomes expensive quick). Another possible cause is that we recently had a severe storm here and had to have a new cable for my (full fibre) WiFi to work again (it's supposedly "temporary" however I imagine it will become somewhat permanent with how things tend to go with my provider). As I previously said, I have connected to this server without issues many times.

My ping is nondescript; it just tells me "Medium ping" with a couple of yellow bars, so I don't know if that is part of the issue or not. I have been able to connect to Minecraft servers with higher ping before, and I know some other players on this specific server have far worse ping than I do.

Is it potentially an issue with my WiFi settings? If so, what can I do? It seems to be on my end, and not the server's end.
