"Join Party" Grayed out - Not sure if networking issue or not.

Hello,

My friend has an issue where he can receive invites but cannot send. The "join party" square is grayed out. Here is what we have already tried:

• Hard reset console for ten seconds and unplugged console for 1 minute.

• Power cycled router for 30 seconds.

• Confirmed he was not suspended.

• Checked privacy and online settings. Communication with other players is enabled.

• Removed account and added it back on.

• Using Ethernet cable to confirm stability.

• Detailed network meet and surpass minimum requirements. Download speed is above 5 mbps, no packet loss, latency is under 100 ms and nat is open.

• Just to make sure nat was open for sure, we went ahead and reserved the IP address and enabled DMZ. Nat still continues to stay open but the issue is still unresolved with party chat.

• Tried a whole different network. Same problem.

• restored the console to factory default. failure.

What on earth is going on?

RoG Changes the Game - Enter the Revolution!

I've only been with RoG for maybe 6 days I think. I know a guy in RoG who was a "Soldier" sent me like 10 invites back to back and I didn't join because I was in a match. Not sure if R3con was in that party too but yeah I just got on and went into clan
details to see who was on and it was grayed out. So I checked and sure enough I was kicked out. Thanks Inferno.

Xbox 1 party issues

I am unable to start or join a party Xbox one live party. It says "party encountered an error". I've tried to restart my Wi-Fi, my Wi-Fi can't be the issue. I'm not sure if it's just me running into this problem, or if it's on Xboxs part. If someone could
please help me out here.

Well if your haveing this issue it maybe a ghiltch. Or maybe a network issue however it will tell you if you can't join the party. Make sure your not ban for commucations because that can be the issue as well since it seems to be a related traited. but if
your not then it must be a network issue, make sure you check xbox server alerts and do a connection test.

Reinstalling it changes the join xbox one party button to be always grayed out even when my friend is in a party that is not invite only.

Yeah myself and most of the guys I play online with have this issue as well.

You join a party, select to turn chat on and get greeted by the message mrpotpot93 has mentioned. I have found that rebooting the console seems to allow me to then rejoin the party and turn chat on, absolute pain. I really hope there is a fix for this soon.

Just for reference, my NAT is open and both network test confirm that there are no issues, XB1 is also in the routers DMZ to make sure it's not a port issue.

On a related note, why did MS make this so long winded. You select to join a party, but then have to select to also turn on party chat! Surely the way it works on 360 was fine, where joining a party put you straight into party chat. Why would you want to
join a party but not join the chat by default!!

Hi there sorry for such a delayed response. Unfortunately neither of those fixed my issue. I still see “join game” grayed out with my friends and can’t joint them but they can join me.
