"Join Game" Grayed out

All of a sudden without changing any settings I am unable to join any friends game. I play with one friend daily and now can't join him. He has not changed any settings and neither have I. We also checked and all multiplayer settings are the same and this is in multiple games. I can't join him but he can join or invite me fine. I think this is an xbox glitch but not sure how to fix or report it.

Hi there sorry for such a delayed response. Unfortunately neither of those fixed my issue. I still see “join game” grayed out with my friends and can’t joint them but they can join me.

Alrighty! Kindly also try clearing your MAC address. Go to your Xbox Settings. Select Network Settings > Advanced Settings. Under Change Settings select Alternate MAC Address> select Clear. Allow the console to restart when prompted then try to launch the game again.

If that did not work, try changing your DNS. Go to Settings > Network > Advanced Settings > DNS settings > manual

Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8

Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4

then check again.

This is happening in all the games I play Halo, Overwatch, Sea of Theives etc. I would have to download a new game to see if it is happening in something new. So all games from what I can tell

Thanks, I tried that it did not change anything. "join" is still grayed out

Hey, Monica! Thanks for your reply. Just to confirm, this issue only happens in some games, right? You can still play in multiplayer on other games?
