java account hacked then migrated

So my java minecraft account was hacked with the email and password changed. i have proof of account ownership via Transaction ID which i have sent to minecraft support. minecraft support then said i should contact Microsoft since as it appears my kokand account has been migrated to something i completely don’t know. any tips on what to do?

Unfortunately that's definitely not something they would be able to provide as that would be them giving you someone elses account info (Pii) which would be breaking all kinds of privacy laws if they gave that info up to you.

exactly. i think the next move is contacting microsoft again, and asking them for the email the java account is linked to. but i’m not sure they are able to provide that info.

I just want to get this straight for other people who reply to this thread.

So, you had a Mojang login to Minecraft JAVA edition. You haven't migrated yet, but someone hacked your Mojang account and then migrated it to a Microsoft account. Seems like you have to kinda explain the situation back to Minecraft support again, or unfortunately buy another copy of the game.
