    Japanese movies experience issues streaming in the United States?


    Has anyone else experienced an issue with the Xbox Movies & TV app, where video playback seems to stutter/slow/freeze, but the audio continues until the video catches up?

    My wife and I have been noticing every time we stream Japanese content (original Japanese versions of movies) we see this behavior. If we stream dubbed versions, it works fine. My guess is because we are streaming from the Japanese datacenter in Tokyo,
    and there are connectivity slow downs from there to Washington State.

    Just curious if we are the only ones...

    Anybody else experience picture problems when streaming movies (rental and purchased) from Xbox Video - the picture seems to stutter/judder all the way through !!

    I bought Yugioh on sale and want to watch it on my phone. I downloaded the movies anywhere app and it only shows a couple movies (not all) and no yugioh? Any help?

    The movies anywhere program only works for those United States, and only a material from member studios like Warner brothers, Sony, Disney and Universal and not for TV shows

    Outside of a handful of theatrical films, no Japanese animation is a part of it

    unfortunately, there is no mobile app for Microsoft movies and TV

    The first step to troubleshooting app issues is to uninstall the app and then download it again.

    If not, then I'm pretty certain that media-streaming sites (Crackle, Fox, Starz, and Netflix in your case) might have content protection measures that prevent videos being streamed to countries other than the United States. The fact that you are geographically
    in China may be the reason why the videos aren't working.

    You'll need to check with each of those sites to make sure their movies can be streamed to your country or not. American movies are armed to the teeth with many forms of copyright-protection measures.

    Also, as a side note, you might get further complications in the future if you keep your Xbox Live account set to United States as your region while you are in China. You may want to change your region to match your country.

    @Agent the comparison doesnt make sense. Comparing a stream of a game to a stream of a movie are completely different. If I can watch the movie for free there is no point in me going out to buy the movie on DVD/blu ray. Even though I can watch someone stream
    an entire game doesnt mean I will get the full experience of it. If you get the full experience from watching game streams cool, Ill just say you dont like video games.
