Why would jam coms affect helicopters?? it's to jam communications, hence JAM-COMS... makes no sense to have it affect helicopters if they are already there.... if you can't get away , drive under the train tracks or into a tunnel.

Deffinately one of the hardest places in the game to get past.Died quite a few times myself untill I worked it out.Anyway theres a simple trick to it that can save you lots of frustration.You equip the most stable shield you can carry(Havels is great for
this)two handed.Perhaps put on the kids Mask(helps with stamina)+those green herbs that also boost stamina.You dont even need a sword.All you do is run up to the knight on the right,and prepare to roll/dodge his arrow as you come around the corner.If you succesfully
avoid it you are now so close he will come in for some close encounter,but with the right shield he cant brake youre stance,and you will be able to squise in between him,and the wall,and eventually he will drop off the ledge.I have to admit I had a terrible
time at this in the beginning,but on my last run it became almost routine,and I was able to do it the first time.Good luck to all of you

It's the one on the right you want to go after. If you go to the left, then you also have to defeat the one on the right. If you go to the right, you can drop down and get to the next bonfire without having to face the one on the left.

If you have a long bow or Pharis's bow, you may be able to shoot them and poison them from the platform below. Be careful not to get knocked off while you are shooting though.

Another option is to do the kick. If you're good at parrying, you can do that. If you have magic, wrath of the gods or homing soul mass both work really well.

Just as a note, it's not always easy to find summon signs there because most hosts will want to sit down at the bonfire that's just past the archers. So, most summons will end up being sent home. That's probably why you aren't finding much action there.
I used to have a character in that level range that could have helped, but I leveled up that character to the 70s recently.
