Jabra USB headset not working on xbox one?

Hello,

I have a Jabra headset UC Voice 550ms that I regularly use at work for skype calls or listen to music. All audio from my laptop comes/goes from/to the headset with no problems at all.

Unfortunately the same is not happening on the xbox. Does anyone have a procedure to get the headset working?

My previous one had a 3.5mm jack that I plugged on my controller and was working. This is different cause it has USB so goes in the back of the box.

Any clue anyone?

Hello!

Most likely the headset isn't compatible. Typically you either need a headset that is certified to work wirelessly or via USB or one that connects through a 3.5mm jack.

The Xbox console does not support USB sound devices or USB headsets.

Only headsets that plug into the Xbox controller are supported. Be that 3.5mm jack headsets (CTIA standard) or the chat headsets with a USB-similar-looking
plug that goes into the wide connector of the controller.

Also there are specifically licensed headsets that connect wirelessly directly to the console like the

Plantronics RIG 800LX

But the only
headsets that have an USB connector use that connector to get USB power to their wireless transmitter, but no actual sound is transmitted over that USB cable.

hmm - I have a similar one (jabra) and it worked - did you try Skype with the audio test function to verify if your headset works correctly?

I’m having the same issue but I’m using a Jabra Evolve2 85. Headset says connected and the USB dongle light is steady indicating the headset is connected but no audio. Did you ever figure out a fix?
