    I havent received my xbox live free gift

    Dear Xbox Support,

    I spoke to your representative on live chat who referred me to contact you here. I've been sent a link for a free gift but when i click it i get sent to a page to redeem a 25 digit code but that hasnt been provided in the email. Can you please tell me how
    to get my gift?

    My friend has bought a game from US region and sent it to me as a gift but unfortunately i can’t redeem the gift code and it keeps telling me (Contact the seller to get a code that works in your region / This code was purchased in a different region and
    cannot be redeemed.) although i tried using the same US region, BTW I've tried all this throw the console but with no success

    here    . but unfortunately, you cannot buy items with an Xbox gift card on a iOS or android device. Try buying it on a Xbox!

    If my friend redeems the gift card in the link you sent, will he be able to redeem it on mcpe, or does it have to be on Xbox?

    The short answer: you cant

    The long answer: gifting is region locked (something your friend would have gotten a warning about before completing the purchase) so a friend with an account in one country would only be able to gift to other friends with an account in the same country.

    Your friend would have to request a refund from their end.

    Xbox gifting is region locked, which it would have told your friend before he sent the gift, so there's no way to redeem the code unless you're in Australia also. Your friend would need to see if he can submit a refund request for the purchase.
