Xbox One X Scorpio Edition

Has anyone who preordered a Xbox One X Scorpio Edition received any tracking info?

 

What is the ship date for launch day Xbox One X Scorpio editions ordered from Microsoft Store

If you preordered the Project Scorpio edition then it should arrive on the 7th. Those sold out quickly. So if you preordered any One X's after that first run, they won't ship out until the 30th.

 

I always stick to my local GAME store when buying consoles. Pay for their extra warranty, which includes cover for it being physically broken, spill a drink on it etc. Take it back to the shop, they replace it there and then, no having to wait days or possibly
weeks to get it fixed/replaced.

I had to chuckle at the post above. When I saw Az post I just had a feeling I'd see a post along the lines of .."He can't afford one" amazing how some know people's financial situations on here.

To be fair Az makes a good point. Over the last month or so I've properly got back into gaming on the PlayStation, missed so many games but now having waited I'm getting them at low low prices. Earth Defence Force 4.1 being one, got that for £11.99 and had
more fun on that than most £40-50 games I've purchased in last year. So if you can wait it makes a lot of financial sense + you'll have loads more games to choose from.

Again though most of the time I have zero patience but whether you buy day one or wait, the main thing is you have fun so it's all good

 

As for Scorpio, I'm excited for it, again no interest in VR and interested to see if Microsoft can back up what they said about giving us True 4K gaming, fingers crossed.

 

So anyone buying the console at launch has simply fallen prey to western culture and has no idea why they're buying it other then "it has good specs". Obviously nobody has a clue why they would buy such a thing otherwise.

If I were to get Scorpio, it would be through one of the authorized retailers in NZ. They will sell it cheaper.

Regarding Recore, last week one page on xbox.com said it was NZ$59.99, the other NZ$79.40. I reported it to Xbox Support, they apologized and the following day Microsoft dropped the price to NZ$58. Someone at Xbox Pricing I think needs to be retrained. I
read some NZ'rs were happy to pay $79 but what they didn't realize is that the game is suppose to be much cheaper than that. I saw on the UK store the game selling for 29 pounds. JB Hi Fi was selling it for NZ$54. Even EB Games which tends to usually be the
more expensive retailer was selling it for NZ$59.99. I think Microsoft charges above RRP and far too much, for the New Zealand market. Recore in Australia Xbox Live charges A$49. I think Xbox Pricing needs to be more aware of GOOGLE CURRENCY CONVERTOR and
charge more fairer prices. I only got Recore on Xbox Live because it has Xbox Play Anywhere which means I can install it and play it on both my laptop (HP) and my desktop. Xbox Support said the licence is not restricted to one computer. I don't even know the
FULL SPECS of the console yet or what it really looks like.

I think Forza 7 and Halo 6 will be able to run in 4k native since Microsoft is strongly related with those games. I'd like to see a 4k Minecraft but it's just blocks. I would like also to see Xbox Scorpio to us an SSD for internal storage. HDD's take far
to long to load and save stuff. I have heard that the console will have a bandwidth of 320GB/s and maybe what looks like 12x1GB RAM modules and rumoured to have a faster clocked 2.2Ghz AMD APU.

When the Scorpio was announced at E3 Phil Spencer said this was going to be a "Premium" product leading a lot to believe it will cost so ...

What would you be willing to spend on Scorpio providing it lives up to want you want it to be?

I can't see Microsoft going too high because people don't want to spend decent PC money on a console so again what would be your limit?

Personally if it lives up to what I hope I'm saying £600 would be my limit even though being honest that's quite hefty for a console.

 

I'd love to get this but financially don't think I can afford to, won't even be able to put money aside for the next 12 months as I don't have any lol.

But what I'm still confused is, is this considered as the next gen console or just a half way upgrade? can we expect another next gen Xbox a couple of years after the Scorpio is released?

I know people are saying a console generation won't be the same now, but I hope not.

But the comments are a pretty accurate generalisation critical of the market not the people here.

Silly to start ordering people 'not to tell folks what to do'. You're the only one trying to don any ordering in this thread.

There are bonuses to being an early adopter because you get to do stuff first... but you have to deal with the teething problems as well as waiting for the market to fill up with good games.

When the guy in front of you in the queue at MacDonalds doesn't order the same meal you were gonna have... you could take it as a personal insult and get in a huff about it...

Or you could be like most of the other people in this thread and be confidently aware that it doesn't really matter.

Also there's already been talk on Twitter from official Microsoft staff that they are already thinking about what comes after Scorpio. This is no surprise as there's also talk/rumour that Sony will reveal PlayStation 5 at E3 2017 which will be more powerful
than Scorpio so Microsoft are preparing to counter that!

Going to be interesting to see where the next 5-10 years take us. Gone are the days of 8-10 year life cycles. What's next, physically upgradable consoles?

 

Hmm, interesting question as regards to price. Seeing as how I paid $500 for a Neo Geo way back in 1994 and it only had a few Games at $200 each it kinda skews my perspective.

Given if the Scorpio is going to be as powerful as they have been eluding to and more importantly capable of high-end Gaming I would put the upper limits of about $600 (US) but I would rather not pay that much and would be more comfortable around $550 or better
$500. If it ends up being more well they better show a good reason as to why any Consumer should pay more if it's simply a matter of 4k Resolution.

Here in the UK I remember games being £150-200. One game when released was selling at EB Games for £275. Crazy thing is people bought them, got a few myself :-/
