Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you are still prompted that you have to buy the game, even if you already purchased Minecraft.

As part of our initial troubleshooting, kindly make sure that you are logged in using the same Microsoft account where you purchased the game. If you purchased it from Microsoft store, you may check it by going to https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders

If Minecraft does not show on your order history even after selecting "All available" from the ordered within drop down, this means that Minecraft was purchased in a different account.

Once confirmed that you are using the correct account, please follow my recommendations below.

If you play Java edition:

1. Delete the Minecraft launcher that exists on your computer.

2. Restart your computer.

3. Install legacy Minecraft launcher for Windows.

Once reinstalled, continue with these instructions.

1. Open Minecraft launcher.

2. If you are already logged in, click on your image and Gamer tag in the upper left corner of the screen and then on "Logout".

3. After logging out, delete all accounts registered in the launcher by clicking on the "X" next to each account.

4. In the Minecraft launcher, enter the Microsoft email and password.

If you play Bedrock edition, you have to go to Microsoft Store>My Library then look for Minecraft and install.

Make sure you're signed into the Store app with the same Microsoft account that you used to buy the game.

If the above steps did not work, please clear the cache of the Microsoft store. Go to Settings> System> Apps & features> Click Store> Advanced options> Reset.

After the reset, log in with the Microsoft account that has Minecraft Java and reinstall Launcher.

Hi Josef, I’m having the same issue however this is the first time I’ve got minecraft on any PlayStation, I’ve tried logging in to Minecraft on PS5 and it gives me the same message, there is only my account on my PS5 yet it says my Microsoft account is already linked to another PSN account, I do not have minecraft on PS4. I attempted to use a different Microsoft account but all I got was a signing in screen for 10 minutes so gave up.

(Edit: just installed minecraft on my ps4 with the same PSN account and also says the Microsoft account is linked to a different PSN account but Nintendo switch works fine so seems to be an issue with PlayStation minecraft)

Same thing is happening to me on my ps4. It says my account is already connected to another account but I received an email saying that the Microsoft account was logged into PlayStation but on my ps minecraft shows that I’m not logged in. I’ve already contacted PlayStation and Minecraft and they both told me the same thing but nothings changed. I’m in desperate need of help

I checked the microsoft account history and saw nothing was ever bought with it. However, the yahoo email does say Minecraft was bought. I really think someone else migrated my Minecraft account to his email.

It was purchased with my Microsoft account. The original bedrock I refunded from Microsoft store and the Java I bought from Minecraft.net. I am not going to purchase Minecraft again in order to solve this. I’ve already bought it from the official site I shouldn’t need to buy it again from Microsoft store. Every explanation I’ve come up with (not that I’m much into tech) makes no sense as there were no issues with my old laptop. Same company, completely updated, same app, shouldn’t have this issue. I’ve tried so many things to try and fix this and nothing has worked. I did figure out it’s not necessarily Microsoft store as much as just microsoft. I am quickly losing all patience with this thing and will probably factory reset the laptop and try to skip the login. Or make a new Microsoft account. At this point I don’t care. But I imagine it will just pop up saying I don’t have this app and direct me to Microsoft store to ask for more money.
