I've had the DVR turned off since early Dec and haven't really missed it...

I actually found it annoying in games like Peggle where it would constantly upload like 5 clips per game so I disabled it altogether, but I did have an awesome moment in Madden and COD a week ago that I said "Xbox Record That" and then remembered..."oh yeah".
But other than those two instances, I haven't even noticed or missed having my clips constantly barrage my friends' activities list. Anyone else turn their DVR off or find a way to manage the settings to not record every single "little" moment like it's a
BIG moment?

Xbox One Power Off With Controller

I've turned mine off with the controller every time since I bought it day 1 and I haven't had any issues.

 

DVR problems.

Yes I have this problem and its really annoying. Having the DVR recording makes FIFA14 slow, sluggish and delayed in gameplay online and offline so I like to stop the DVR recording. Now however even with DVR turned off it keeps recording and saving the annoying
auto record clips.

This has been happening since the last system update.

 

I turned off the DVR as well. It's annoying having the recording message pop up

 

lol, peggle made me laugh first couple of hours 22 auto clips later, how many big buckets do peeps waana see, lol.

I thinks its soley down to the developers when the auto clips register though in games, along with the kinect features, same thing.

Its one thing I really love about the xb1 the dvr and seeing friends and more great gaming moments, keep us going till full streaming lands, but for those that arnt bothered with it they should be an on/off option for sure, hoping these updates due will
clear alot up for us all.

 

Peggle was the exception.... but I do not see that many "unwanted" clips from my friends on all the games they play... I do not even mind the BF4 Promoted clips... makes me want to load it up and play...

 

Ha ha Peggle 2 was certainly interesting with the amount of game clips it recorded, I kept thinking it was Achievements popping up!

To be honest the auto clip recording is not something that bothers me, I happy to keep the DVR switched on.

 

My luck would be to turn it off then whilst playing BF4, I take out a chopper with just my knife.

 

Unwanted clips are annoying although doesn't take long to delete them, I for one love the DVR feature and use it regularly.

 

There needs to be an option to turn off auto clips on a per game basis. Peggle was the reason I turned it off too. However, there are other games I wouldn't mind it being on for, but I'm not going to go turn it on and off all the time.
