Ive got a gamerscore of 32 thousand and never received any rewards

We do not award Credits for Gamerscore. While we do award Gems for gamerscore, that feature was only created on October 1st. We cannot award gems for activity done before Gems existed.

The rewards program does not give credits based on gamerscore. In order to receive credits, your purchases either have to be eligible for a specific offer on the site at the time, or you need at least 1 star level in order to receive VIP rebates.

If you're looking for gems, those just started on October 1. So you would not have been rewarded for anything done prior to that date.

I checked, I purchased a couple thousand points since then, and I also got 800 points for joining the rewards program, but I never received what I was supposed to get from the promotion.

We see multiple Credit and deposit events for your account. You can see a complete history of your Credit and deposit events from the MyStatement on the MyRewards page. You can then use the dates listed for your deposits to see their deposit as currency
from your commerce page at (https://commerce.microsoft.com/), where they will be listed as a refund with a negative amount. For example, your last deposit on February 7th was spent on the 23rd on a purchase of
"Battlefield 1 Premium Pass: Battlefield 1 Deluxe Edition".
