I've changed my email address, now can't use my account on console?

I changed my email address earlier today by creating adding a new email to my account, making it the primary email and removing the old one.

My account still functions fine on xbox.com, but on my xbox one console there's numerous issues which means I can no longer use the account. There's no gamer pic gamer score or my name, my online status says "unknown", when I tried to load up my games it
says "we were unable to get your latest saved data".

Does anyone know why this is and how to fix this?

Hey you would have to do exactly as Wishcatcher said, you can also go to your microsoft account page and make sure the xbox account is linked there as well.

once the systems sync with your new password, it should automatically fix the issue.

Delete your account on the console then add it back to sync all infos (btw it can takes up to 72 hours to be up to date everywhere…)

I've tried deleting and adding it back a few times now but no luck. Just comes up with and error message when loading the account. Will this just fix automatically then? Thanks for the reply

As an update, I re-added the old email and was able to sign in using my new password, but now I can't re-change my alias to the new email address. Will my Xbox Live account ever recognize a change in the primary email associated with the account?
