I've been constantly getting hate messages from this one player..

So I've been playing Brawlhalla for a while now, I LOVE the game

But for some reason this ONE guy called [mod removed] on Xbox keeps sending hate messages.

Let me explain what's the problem, I have a ripped controller, and I get time to play on Xbox pretty rarely nowadays.

There's also my eye, I'd rather not go into detail, but it affects my gameplay as well.

Overall most Xbox players I've met are always nice like saying GG or It was fun 1v1ing you, but this one player keeps sending me hate messages since I play "Orion" which is a spammed legend, I always try to play clean, no taunts, and I always send GG as a message
post-game.

I tried reporting once or twice, but I got no reply from MS, he keeps queuing with me, and I've lost to him a few times due to my left joystick being almost unplayable, and he still sends messages everytime I queue with him. I even went far enough to explain
about my situation.

What do I do?

I already reported, but I'm just not blocking him so I can get evidence. I don't know how many other players he's been toxic to. So if I have evidence, I can get he/she banned.

I don't want him to bully/be toxic to other players, outside dming players toxic messages, he keeps taunting in-game as well..

There's no need to gather evidence. The enforcement team has the tools they need to see what happened. Blocking him will keep him from messing with you.

I actually get good and bad messages from people when I've been tearing it up. Obviously you get the hate mail but sometimes it can be a nice message saying nice rank or a friend request. Also I've had the odd message if I've been using an underated gun
like the MP5 or M16 asking what attachments I was using. It's not all bad

I think the blocking system works really well for me. I still get a few messages here and there getting accused of being a modder, i'm now level 813.

You can always set communications to friends only so only people on your friends list can send communicate with you.

You are doing the right thing by blocking & reporting anyone sending abusive messages.

How do I change them so only my friends can communicate with me? Will it like limit anything else. And for the abusive messages I don't reply back to them now and I just block and report them, since I've already had 2 communication bans on my account which
were for unknown reasons, probably cause I was responding to them, not anything absive. They were a while ago. Also if I can my settings to friends only will people still be able to add me as a friend I get a load of random friend requests.
