ITV Player for Xbox 360

Does anyone know if an ITV Player app is coming out for the Xbox 360?

STV Player app not working for new users

Hi,

The STV Player app does not work for new accounts.

I have used this app on my Xbox 360 for months.

But trying to setup the app under a new account only shows a grey screen.

I know that ITV have moved to a new "ITV Hub" system, so I suspect that it's something to do with this.

Is there any updates on Xbox live releasing ITV Player to Xbox live in the UK?

 

Doubt it.Reckon it would of been on the 360 by now if it was.

 

We've not had one in all these years, so it's unlikely we'll get one so late on.

If they are working on an app, at this stage it would probably be for the One rather than the 360.

 

ITV have refused due to it being a free service and MS forcing you to pay for gold to use it.

 

@Apex Assassion: That was the case about 5 years ago. During the time when BBC first tried to add their BBC iplayer service. MS wanted ££££ but BBC said no thank you.

Behind the scenes things got sorted. Now you get BBC, CH4 & CH5 stuff via 360.

The problem with the ITV player is that its requires MS Silverlight to work. This app/program doesn't work on consoles and crashes a hell of alot on PC/laptops.

I wouldn't grumble but I am with the above, I cant see it happening on anything until / unless the gold-wall is removed.

 

It does work on consoles, PS3 has it.

 

Phil mentioned removing the gold wall, I read that somewhere, so if true, it may happen on 360 / One then?

 

Im glad ITV aint in partnership with MS as the dash would fill up with bloody Britains Got Talent and TOWIE ads...Which i can do without

 

Have to admit,the only time i ever watch ITV is the Touring Cars on ITV4.

 

I use bbc iplayer and 4od all the time but personaly i perfer ps3 and ps4 only cause of the better apps on them.
