Do you guys think that Evolve is going to become a Games With Gold offering in the future?

Do you guys think that Evolve's player base is going to grow if it becomes an offering for Games With Gold?

Would you actually play it if it was offered by Games with Gold?

Personally, I find the fact that Evolve supports solo off-line play with bots to be quite interesting

Also, I've heard that the A.I. of the bots seems to be pretty good too

It could well be a GWG although I doubt it will happen as its 2K.

Also its a triple A title so its highly unlikely, I would have though dead rising 3 would have been by now.

It also depends what else is being offered up, it might never get the chance.

If it happens it will increase the single player base, it missed its chance at increasing its MP base IMO.

^^ Why because some people don't like a game or are unhappy with all their dlc on day 1? Doesn't sound cancerous to me. It's just a dscussion about a game in a public forum.

Some people aren't able to separate a good game from a poor marketplace model.

I think "Killer Instinct" could have been the fighter that defined this current Generation but the App Store model approach they took to marketing it makes it a steaming turd in my book.

I love "Dead Or Alive". It's my favourite fighting franchise. I've got "Last Round: Ultimate" but even I think smashing the game into little pieces and selling them as such... and then creating a marketplace model that will see you spend around £400.00
if you want all the costumes is poor and the main reason the game will be overlooked by many. It's a great game... just a poor marketing model.

If any Triple AAA game was going to become Games with Gold, why not "Evolve"? They've sold enough copies that the publisher considers the game to have been a commercial success despite how anyone here feels about it.

So if they've sold enough of the main game... when they feel enough time has gone by... why not put it on gold... to lure people into spending £40.00 on the Hunting passes?

Unless of course you picked them up while they were on sale. You're still paying less if you bought a hard copy of the disc once the dlc goes pack up to full price even if 2K give the main game away for free on Gold.

However it's highly unlikely that they will.

 

Maybe for a short time, but the hype is gone and there are other games available. but its only my opinion.

To further expound on my previous statement, Evolve being " free " would draw back the players that stopped playing it to play with their friends who have acquired it via the Games With Gold promotion

Also, those players that are still playing Evolve will be happy because they get to share their love for the game to new players

IMO you can't draw people back to play MP, as soon as a better MP experience comes alone people move on, games have a short time to get people on board, and thats it.

I bet there are a lot of people who agree with you.
Thankfully there are just as many, if not more, who enjoy playing good games whether it's on release day or on the day they finally put all the content at what they consider to be a fair price.
The decent thing about "Evolve" is that while most shooters offer you a "COD re-skin" with "Evolve" you don't get a copy cat experience. It's a great fun cooperative game and you can play as the monsters.

 

COD suffers from the same issue as does any MP game, you have a window to fill it, then you have to keep them, once they are gone they are gone.

The question was will the player pool will increase and it wont, I never mentioned the current player base.

You'd have to write 2K or Turtle Rock.

There's certainly enough to always find a match fairly quickly.

Player count is something we're seeing a lot less of this gen, where as "Modern Warfare" used to proudly display it's millions online when it was all the rage on the 360.

So don't get me wrong. I think you're right when you say some people will lose interest and be attracted by new stuff.

But people keep coming back to the great games. That's what makes them great games.

 

I do think it would be a great game to pop in an out of if you play with a regular group, I just don't have inclin for it, although I was hyped when I heard about it.

(I did think the beta was meh, and it lost me then)
