Well after a 30 minute conversation with the support team i can confirm the xbox one only plays blu ray in 5.1 doesnt matter if you select 7.1 uncompressed it still comes through as 5.1 this is the fact that they do not support and by there support team
have no INTENTION of supporting dts hd audio or the dolby one which from my understanding are the true codecs for 7.1?

I find all this very very dissapointing i have a blu ray that is better than my xbox one and the ps4 can play games better than my xbox one apart from dissapointment is there anything that the xbox excels at?

If i have given any misinformation then please point it out and we can discuss it.

Where are you looking for your clips? Upload Studio? If so they will not be there, you need to go to Game DVR in order to find them and save them.

Sorry about your audio issues. I actually had a read a bit on this one before giving an answer (and I could still be saying something that is not 100% correct, this is just my understanding). So for 7.1 uncompressed that does look like it's not currently
an option. That said it does appear that there are HD audio settings that work with the Xbox One to give you the full sound and not have dead channels. The best sources of info for this type of issue that I found was the AVS Forum. If none of the encoded audio
channels work for you, then I would suggest giving some feedback at the site below. Microsoft takes those considerations and often implements them in future updates.

Let us know with the HD encoded audio if that does or does not solve your issues. Again, I could be telling you something that is not 100% correct. Unfortunately I can't test 7.1 as I only have 5.1, but from what I saw one person got it working. I also saw
people saying that it just wouldn't work as well. Hope this helps. If you do find that you cannot get it to work, like I said, submit some feedback for a new feature.
