I agree with Genchy in what he says.

If they do ( and who knows what will happen ) close down this forum, all it will affect is the people that enjoy coming on here for a chat. I for one would be sorry to see it go but it wouldn't be the end of the world.

I can still get my gaming info from others sources, if there's a problem there will still be Xbox Support etc

Not to worry Lofty we can start our own Old Gits Xboxers Forum where we can discuss fading twitch repsonse times on COD and stuff....

The forums are not closing. Xbox Support is using reddit as another platform to assist users. No different than using Twitter. It does not replace the support forums.

If you have suggestions about ways to improved these forums the feedback site is the best place for it. Xbox does read it and they do listen.

Typically I wouldn't hop in because Bowski is 100% right and nailed the answer on the head but given some of the comments made in this thread I wanted to talk to you all. Both of these initiatives (forums support & reddit support) fall under my team or work
directly with my team daily so I can speak to it with knowing exactly what is going on. First lets just say the Xbox Forums are not going anywhere... we are not closing them down or anything of that nature.

The Xbox Forums have been a staple here and will continue to. In fact one of the teams initiative is to gather information on how to make this space even better. I can tell you that the effort being put in is quite the opposite of closing down my friends.

I would also definitely encourage each of you to go and read the reddit intro if you haven't from my team. In fact ^DN specifically states in it " Hey everyone, glad to be able to branch out and offer support for our awesome community in more and more places."

This is just another example of we here at Xbox Community Support are committed to making sure we have a presence where our customers are going. We wont abandon our own forums platform just to help people in Reddit. We are most certainly dedicated to our
own forums so is the forum support team.

I would hope you all know that we most certainly care and would never just abandon some of our longest and most loyal customers in this area.

Would be nice from Microsoft to start to support Xbox.com and Xbox forums instead of constantly supporting Tweeter,Reddit and other social medias....
