It's official. MS is killing off this Forum.

Try using the uk forums you can post there and its still on front page weeks later !

I remember the days on the UK section where you could make a post, come back a few hours later and you had to scroll down a page or 2 to find your last post. Sadly those days are gone, the place is almost dead now.

As someone else said, even this forum which was very active seems to be slowing down a lot now. I've been more active on here the last few days as I've had a bit more spare time but usually I just have a quick flick through Twitter on my phone and catch
up with any of the latest gaming news.

It would be a shame in a way but I've said it for a while now, it honestly wouldn't surprise me to see this place go altogether. I think Microsoft would prefer us all to move on to Twitter, Reddit etc then they haven't got the hassle of managing this place.
Can't say I really blame them either to be honest, don't get me wrong there's still some great people on here, I game with a lot of them myself but how many times to we see a perfectly good thread get totally derailed with the usual petty arguments.

 

....what the hell? Is Microsoft that cheap? I'd expect the support page of something like the Ouya to be on a subreddit but a Microsoft product? I know they don't care about us but wow... at least pretend that you care.

 

If they just condensed this placemat would make a big difference. They have a ton of sub forum's that are not needed. They just need...

X1 general discussion.

X1 games.

360 general discussion.

360 games.

Xbox Live.

That's all they need. People must come here and take one look at the layout and think to themselves.... F-this.

 

I've never even looked at Reddit.

Goat pretty much summed up my thoughts too, the place is a nightmare for newcomers to navigate around, the game specific forums are a waste of time unless it's a major release like COD etc.

I agree there is a lot on here that's not needed. Even some of the game specific forums are like a ghost town. Why can't we just talk about games in the Xbox One General Discussion? Obviously have a General Discussion for different regions depending on language.

I think the Support Forums should stay.

Yeah keep the different region boards, tbh they only need a single board....maybe two per region. And for God's sake, just have the word "forum" or "community" on the home page of the site, don't hide it in a support tab.

Would be nice from Microsoft to start to support Xbox.com and Xbox forums instead of constantly supporting Tweeter,Reddit and other social medias....

I never bothered for Reddit.

I do not bother for facebook, twitter ect. either.

@Genchy If you enjoy being bent over by gaming companies, hey that's fine. But not all of us enjoy it. And if I'm investing in their products for as much money as I have I would like to see some custom service.

Their support is really well, if you go on Chat with Official Support Team Member you'll only wait 1 minute and 60% of the time they'll be able to fix what's wrong. But when it comes to our community and feedback it's practically non-existent.

 

First off there is no official word that this forum is being closed down. Secondly they still aint your girlfriend so the "at least show me you care" comment is still funny to me. Thirdly in what way would MS closing down a free forum that does nothing
but allow a load of us to discuss Xbox stuff equate to them "bending me over" Fourthly with CUL rating of 1 you must be really active "community" member Get a grip.
